Positive Outlook I have been working at Cognizant Technology Solutions full-time (More than 3 years) Pros lots of opportunities available in many different fields and locations Cons while still working for a company as a cognizant consultant, you are still required to do a bunch of side tasks and shenanigans for cognizant. Luckily if you do a good job the client will treat you very good. Advice to Management make the environment more diverse, i know its a company mainly owned by guys from India, but don't forget that the US is a very diverse country and promotes diversity, meaning employing people from different countries

Good work environment

Good work environment. Promotion is a tad slow because of many more senior employees ahead. Old timers are the majority here with knowledgeable personnel. New employees may have a hard time getting promoted.

What is the best part of working at the company?The day I quit! Unfortunately, the company employed managers who had no business being in management. They frequently talked down to the majority of people under their chain of command, but one individual consistently yelled and screamed on his subordinates, as if they were his red headed step children. Very disrespectful, lacking in professionalism, direction and tact. They won’t win any award for “Best places to work” anytime soon! What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Walking in the door, dealing with inept management for the whole of your shift, watching people around your being promoted because the manager simply “liked” them better. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Fairly relaxed business casual to casual dress code. Very cliquish, but what company isn’t. If you suck up, you might get ahead, but the management style is driven by traditions and cultural insight from and oversees Indo-Asiatic culture. Apparently, it’s accepted to scream at and degrade your employees over there.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Nerve racking at first, stressful, on edge… And not because the managers yelled at me, that happened once and I shut it down. But even watching it take place against others is trying. Some days were cool, most we annoying.
