I had five buildings as a chief engineer. I had overtime every pay period and most of it was paid but most oftennot appreciated.

8:30 to 5:30 - who works those hours anymore? If you could not leave at 5:30 due to someone who asked you to do something for them, you were not paid for the overtime. There is no overtime! PERIOD. If you stayed late, the trade off was you can either come in late one day or leave early to make up for the time you worked. CRAZY!
