A good way to meet a large diversity of people

I worked the front desk in all three shifts, and I've think I've seen it all. Typically I worked the evening shift and I got to know the guests buy name and their needs. This was an environment to learn people's needs/wants and requests are only sometimes within reason. Example I had a guest request that we modify the hotel and renovate his room to - more... position his room exactly 90 degrees west.
