We are a global metals company committed to delivering industry-leading customer service, providing an environment where our employees can succeed, improving our communities and creating value for our investors.
CMC’s recycling operations buy, process, sell and manage recycled metals in collaboration with partners large and small. With more than 100 years’ experience, CMC has grown to become one of the world’s largest metal recyclers, with the capacity to process and ship more than four million tons of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals each year.
CMC operates eleven cutting-edge steel mills across the United States, with one located in Poland. Our eleven steel mills produce high-quality steel products using recycling scrap metal, and have a combined annual capacity of nearly eight million tons. Our electric arc furnace (EAF) mills consume fewer natural resources and our use of recycled metal allows for lower CO2 emissions. CMC is a pioneer in innovative steel-making technology, being the first to use a continuous process at our mills in Mesa, AZ, and Durant, OK, that melts, casts and rolls steel from an uninterrupted strand, leading to higher yields and lower energy costs.
CMC’s fabrication facilities, including rebar fabrication plants, fence post manufacturing plants, heat treating plants and construction-related product stores, serve various projects including both commercial and public construction, energy, agriculture and infrastructure markets. Among many of the notable projects CMC has fabricated products for include public buildings, highways, bridges, structures and sports stadiums.
