They "forget" to do your annual or fire you before its due
I received raises yearly, but then was the first to be laid off when times got slow. They would rather train new people for less money than keep experienced people. Their only focus is the bottom line.
What raises? In 10 years I received 2 raises and the last one I was told that we could not find anyone to do the work load you are doing and pay them as low as what I was getting paid.
