Pros: The company offers an incredible work/life balance if you are personally able to handle conflicting schedules and high emotional stress. Management provides adequate pay for the field and paperwork is relatively low compared to its competitors. Benefits are amazing with generous PTO and a good health insurance plan. Coworkers are generally amicable and care deeply for each other. Support from managers is often genuine and constructive. Office settings are laid back and generally convivial. Employees help train each other when they need help. Mileage and expenses reimbursed weekly. Work hours are very flexible and overtime for bachelor's level employees is offered. The best part of the job is working with family's who want help and having the love and support of coworkers and DCF.
Cons: Management keeps a close eye on its employees without transparency. This creates paranoia among some and the turn-over rate is therefore understandably high. If they can solidify their management structure, train their employees and supervisors professionally and uniformly, decrease the drive for personal gain through secrecy, higher more discriminantly, and provide a strong ethical philosophy; they'd be able to build out a more comfortable company culture, offering adequate and fair mobility, provide defined career roles, and take constructive feedback without subverted personalized hurt resulting in detrimental projection of anger. Management's pride in themselves and their selected favorites blinds them from the growth they can achieve internally.
