Answered by Compass Group

What a lie answer from the Compass Group. They don't train. They don't care about anything but money. They will cut employees until they run the place into the ground and then they will bail.

They say there is, there was even a program called the Climb program to help line cooks etc. move up. It was months of extra work and it made us the ideal people to train the outside hires for the position we bad been working months for. Promotions are a popularity contest in BA, if your gm, dm and chef dont all love you no matter how hard you work, no matter how perfect everything is you have no chance. They will just work you until you burn out or get angry and replace you. Good luck. ( ive worked at 5 accounts over the last 9 years)

Not specifically. For salary employees, there are no real promotions, only the opportunity to rehire for a different position. Hourly employees can somewhat morph between positions with some compensation but more often than not what I've seen is all employees being asked to do more and more with little to no support or compensation until they get frustrated and fed up then wind up quitting.

Not at my location. Yea people got promoted but it wasn't like a step up. They got promoted to fill compliances and were treated no differently afterwards. As for good promotions such as management, head chef and so on, then no, they brought in new people.
