Good Job, Medium to low pay

Working as a plant operator Conestoga is probably standard as far as plant operator positions go. Starting as a plant operator you can easily become a board operator within two years if you work hard. There is some room for advancement beyond that but not much. The pay was good for the area but bad for the field. Shifts were 12 hours and you rotated - more ... between night and day shifts every two weeks. The job is extremely routine but there's always something new to learn every day. - less
ProsDoesn't require a lot of prerequisite knowledge
ConsDirty, some danger, low end of the pay grade
