It is a difficult place to work for the managers cause the drama and issues if they wouldn't gossip about employees info which no one would know but management but somehow everyone knows thanks to the managers Noone knows what's going on ,you basically on your own if management cared somewhat it could be a Lil better but every one is out for their own spot,annoyed and frustrating when you cant fnd someone with an answer

Breaks when your able to, questions most managers can't answer, your given different answers, nobody seems to know what's going on

Easy job

Aug 2020-Sept2021 management team was the best to work hate i had to resign because of low pay but that was a corporate issue will go back for part time work if needed

Overall good

Good sales job, great for those who are confident in hitting quotas. They lose 1 star due to schedule. You’ll be working every weekend no matter what. And 10+ hour days.

Compensation and work balance

I felt the need to be in the store more than I had to because I felt that there wasn’t a lot of support for me as a manager. I took over a over budget store in shrink and they didn’t do a wash after I took it over. I found a lot of things that were missing. I communicated this with my manager and highlighted a lot of issues. When we did the inventory there were so many things that were hidden from the previous leadership yet even with a paper trail I had to eat my loss on my future bonuses. That created a horrible work experience for me as one of my biggest motivators was the bonus potential I could make.

Such bad leadership

I enjoy what I do, however, being someone with years of retail and sales experience, this has been the company with the absolute worst leadership and customer service from management. I do not foresee customer longevity due to the poor quality of care given to customers with issues regarding recent purchases. I understand that business is business, but not taking care of the most vital part of keeping the business alive is always a bad scenario. The entire team is practically against one another and the regular associates see it as well. No respect to those who should have it because they do not carry respectable practices. Very shocked during my time here.

It's a salesman job, don't expect more.

Imagine a car salesman and all the tricks they play, that's how it is here. Don't know if it's the same everywhere but one of my managers would try to make me lie to customers so I can get more sales, I refused to do so. The higher ups push numbers so much, we'd have meetings each week discussing our sales numbers, it was really annoying especially since I didn't care about money that much. If you're a greedy person who loves lying this is the perfect job for you!

Never work at Conn's

Very low commission pay. Will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to take the job. I sold over $111,000 in a month and received under $3500 in pay.

Productive

Not a very flexible work schedule, standing for long hours, but the pay is ok if you’re looking for something temporary. Management is good too. Overall a good place to work temporarily.

Great job for new salespeople

The company provides a 1 week paid training to get new hires up to speed on the Product knowledge and order system. Your first 30 days you’re given 15/hr plus a reduced commission percentage to build a pipeline. Great pay if your store has good traffic and good monthly bonuses/incentives for both managers and sales consultants. Porters and cashiers are overworked and underpaid so turnover for hourly positions is ridiculous and management is forced to fill in the gaps to take payments, merchandise store, and build furniture etc… not to mention my role as an Operations Manager was cut with little to no warning to protect bottom dollar so job security for managers is not the best. Store hours are insane, not closing until 9:30 most nights and on some holidays you’ll be there past midnight. Overall each store has good opportunities in if managers care for their staff and the team is cohesive. In terms of people in my store we were like extended family and I wish I had that dynamic and my new workplace.

Don't waste your time.

They lie to you to get you in the door then don't pay you for some of your work if you decide to leave. Management never answers the phone if you need anything. Don't waste the effort on this company, Find another job.

What is the best part of working at the company?Learning about the productsWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Days when there are no sales (even after all the calls made to try to bring in customers), other associates give their business cards to the customer you are working with, ceo changes to a strict dress code and we are paid only commission (we don't make enough to buy new attire when the ceo changes dress code) ONLY CONNS BOUGHT JACKETS/SWEATERS/CARDIGANS CAN BE WORN. SALES ASSOCIATES HAVE TO FIND HELP TO PREPARE PRODUCT TO LEAVE STORE (NO ONE IS ACTUALLY DESIGNATED). What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Greed, sales associates will steal your sales and not care. What is a typical day like for you at the company?When you come in you start making calls if you don't some managers won't let you greet potential customers that come through the door to make sales. Some days you make more calls and no sales

Good Work Environment

The delivery department is a small staff (4 people including the manager) & the environment is friendly! However, there isn't room for position growth & the higher ups control your pay raise, not your direct manager. The work isn't hard, but it's plentiful.

Terrible company

Not enough pay. Long hours with split off days no one came to work or come on time. No one stays long even the customers explain how they see different faces but they don’t stay long. If store hours was changed, better pay and better management it’ll be a great company to work for

Horrible company stay far far away good asst managers bad store managers

Worst paying company ever sell almost 100000 thousand a month and make no money only person makes money on me corporate and store manager both of them are useless .store manger does nothing takes credit for everyone’s effort she cannot even write a ticket it is a joke she wants you to stay late to helped out with sales she leaves on time every day .4 times I was told I get promoted it did not happen had to train the people that were promoted store manager is a bs artist she now needs 30 sales people to replace me of upper management treat people better pay them better maybe you would lose your best salespeople dm is a joke with her 6 inch heels o percent knowledge how To run a business

Great pay but too wild for me

You will always get your hours, and it's a great main job to build a career. I wasn't fond of the JBL speaker playing while I was on phone calls though, and unfortunately they weren't able to accommodate. I still would recommend!

Poor work/life balance no support

It is impossible to get support from leadership. All they care about is numbers, you are expected to do the role of many positions with little to no support.

Although I was there for years it was not a good experience. There was a lot of favoritism, nepotism and just unfair practices. They pay was not great either
