Great people, terrible management.
Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLApril 2, 2018
I loved working for ConnectWise for several years, until they stopped focusing on what is actually important, and instead ruined the company culture with micromanagement. Downhill spiral, 100%.

The workplace environment was positive and encouraged learning. I was able to work as part of team with real hands on experience. I enjoyed my manager and my co-workers who were very helpful.

If you DO NOT need to be trained and / or have a working professional relationship with your manager then this department is PERFECT for you :) Otherwise, just make sure you know everything prior to being hired! Easy!

Too much politics, even though they tried to make it fun
Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 11, 2017
Long story short, the company tried to expand exponentially without increasing the workforce. I worked in customer support sector here so I speak from a Tier 1 of support perspective. Managers play HEAVY favoritism, ultimately leading to why I left. The good managers, either transferred to a completely different division, or were fired.

The environment itself is open and they try to do a lot to make it fun to work there. But expect long hours thanks to the expansion and that if you get behind on work, you WILL stay late to work it. Before I left, there was so much work that we had months of mandatory overtime work due every single weekend.

I've since heard that things have changed a bit for the better with the workload but I can't speak on what I didn't experience.

Associate Software Developer (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLOctober 5, 2017
You will get experience with several different aspect of software development, but overall wont find much vertical advancement or raises. You will get higher workloads as time progresses, but with no title change.
Pros
Free lunch

The incentives are excellent, however there is literally little to no training whatsoever and when its training, its done by other senior associates if they're not busy and have down time and even then you have to go to them and ask them for training.
Pros
one time 8 dollar meal ticket everyday that you can use for breakfest or lunch, they do feed you alot ordering lots of food
Cons
no training. unorganized. no room for advancement unless liked by managers.

Partner Support Consultant (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJune 28, 2017
A typical day is extremely busy. Not enough time in the day for all that needs to be done but the culture is great and they try to keep things fun despite how much needs to be done.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun. Lunches are paid for daily and free snacks and drinks in the break room. There are some managers that need to be replaced but overall it is a good company
Pros
free lunch, unlimited snacks and drinks, fun culture
Cons
PTO is getting better, few bad managers

A great place with some flaws.
Graphic Designer (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLApril 26, 2017
Overall ConnectWise is a fun and vibrant atmosphere that suffers a bit from explosive growth over the last couple years, making some of their current processes a little outdated in comparison to their peers. And in the case of the Marketing/Creative department, it is criminally understaffed for the volume of work that they wish to output.

Management (at least in my department) was always willing to listen to criticism with open ears and eyes and was always quick to respond to snags in an effective manner.

The outings and various company events vary from fun to exasperating, but overall there is a sense of a united company striving to a goal to be the best they can in their field.

Once they reach a point where the departments keep changing structure, I feel like they'll be able to achieve their aspirations easily. This company is still under some construction, so bare that in mind when applying.
Pros
Free Lunch, Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Stocks, Breaks, Company Paid Outings, Pto
Cons
Fluctuating Workload, Constant Department Rehauls, Hard to Navigate Campus

Cash Application Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLFebruary 24, 2017
Received this job through Roth Staffing so job security was the only issue. Worked in the treasury department so paying close attention to detail was very important. This was something I was very good in doing.
Pros
Free lunch daily
Cons
Temp service so no benefits

Excellent community undergoing transformation
Business Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 25, 2017
Culture has always been a top priority for ConnectWise and each department strives to embody the company core values with FUN added to the equation. Work hard, play hard should probably be an official company value.

With the great success and years of explosive growth, ConnectWise is experiencing internal growing pains and shifting from a SMB mindset to an enterprise mindset.
Pros
Free lunches, quarterly events, on site gym
Cons
Lack of job related training, career pathing

I hear good things, outside of the Community Team
Senior Social Media Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 28, 2016
PROS:
Overall Company Culture
Free Lunch
Work/Life Balance
Benefits
Competitive pay

CONS:
Cons are pretty solid, and much of the company is great!

That said, the community team are a great group of people, but there are some much needed in roads that need to be made with working collaboratively with the Marketing Team. Ego, and personal politics get in the way with content going out in a timely manner as well as providing growth and opportunity from the top down.

Ironically, the company's core values of: Check Your Ego at the Door, Breathe Innovation, and Your Voice; Your Company are left at the wayside or Big Egos, Doing What Has Always Worked, and Stifling Creativity.

Zero training on company products in place or outlined and it's essential to the job.

A LOT of politics and personal agendas and grudges get in the way of a meaningful dialogue. Don't expect any kind of help with issue resolution of any kind regardless how far up the chain you go.

Hope you enjoy sugar beverages, because you'll be expected to drink the Kool-Aid regularly.

ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT:
Review the company core values. No seriously, go back and review.

In case you missed this one: CHECK YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR.

Provide actual training, outlined and adhered to.

Brainstorm with other departments and keep the lines of communication OPEN.

Drop the cliques and personal cheerleaders.
Pros
Great company, great benefits, competitive pay, free lunches
Cons
Personal politics, Inflated egos, no training, zero help in issue resolution

Bells and Whistles
Sales Operation Analyst (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLSeptember 7, 2016
The entire company is designed to get you excited and hopeful. You will work 60 hours a week and then chastised for not working 65. They hang the carrot over your head and promise riches. After a few years of the same policies, the only remaining employees are the ones who have fully bought in to a life in the office, or the ones still looking for exits.
Pros
Free Snacks
Cons
You live at the office

Great job but...
Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLFebruary 16, 2016
ConnectWise is great overall. But the company is expanding rapidly while keeping the workforce the same size, or even in some departments downsizing. It increases the workload dramatically, and often mandatory overtime is required for weeks or months at a time. The company does its best to keep everyone motivated and happy, but the personnel shortage is a real problem.

Management is mostly great, however, favoritism definitely exists within the departments. In that regard, it's hit or miss. If you happen to land under an awesome manager, then everything will be as good as possible. But if you're placed on a team with a manager you don't get along with, you will NOT have a good time to say the least.

Business Success Strategist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLJanuary 20, 2016
I loved working for ConnectWise, it is by far the best company I have ever worked for.

Everyone there works as a team, to not only help you succeed as a colleague but to help the partners succeed in their business as well.

Work Hard Play Hard is the motto. Rewarded for the hard work that everyone puts in on a daily basis.

Partner Support Dispatcher (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLDecember 16, 2015
The company is rapidly growing, but the management still listens to ideas you have for improvement. The people you work with are awesome, and everyone has a "work hard play hard" mentality.

Would not recommend to a Microsoft Developer
Primary development (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLAugust 26, 2013
Code-base is a challenge and they're moving towards a full Java/GWT stack. If you're being pitched this as a MSFT development opportunity, I'd be very cautious in proceeding.
Pros
free lunch, snack foods
Cons
buggy product, horrible health insurance, bad code base
