Great place to work
Manager (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAOctober 29, 2018
Very focused on hiring the best entry level people available and training them to provide meaningful value to clients. Work does require travel, but provides opportunities to get off the road with advancement.

Awesome team of people that make a great company culture
Senior Consultant (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAOctober 23, 2018
Connors Group (CG) is a quickly growing consulting firm with a small business feel. Consultants typically work on industrial engineering services projects, workforce management system implementations, or client training projects. Work location and amount of travel is variable by role. The growth of the company has opened more opportunities for work variety, however traditionally, most consultants travel regularly to client sites. The travel can be a pro or a con, depending on if that’s what you’re looking for. The travel is full of fun perks – collecting rewards points, seeing new places, meeting new people. It can also be tiring and can make it hard to be involved in activities at home. Some work is remote away from the client site – either at home or at the company office. The job tends to be fast-paced.

One of CG’s best assets is the team of people. For the most part, once you have been there for a little while, everybody knows everybody, and there really isn’t a single person who you wouldn’t want to work with. The team is a group of motivated and smart people who care about each other as people.

Honesty and integrity are key to the company values, and it shows in business decisions that the company makes. The board of directors are involved with day to day operations and care about their employees. If you do quality work and are a good person, you will be appreciated. You can count on the management team to be there for you if you need something.

Due to the nature of the company being smaller and growing, the structure and internal processes that you might find
more... at a larger firm can be lacking at times. In true industrial engineering fashion, CG is always looking at continuous improvement in these areas.

Compensation seems average for consulting. Work-life balance is variable by project, but seems better than larger consulting firms. In many cases, CG is flexible with living location, which is a nice perk of the company.

Fantastic culture with ample opportunities to grow
Associate Consultant (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAOctober 21, 2018
Connors Group provides countless opportunities for people to travel, develop close relationships with clients, and learn about multiple industries. You move up in the company pretty quickly, with amazing benefits. The travel is relatively constant and can become tiring. However, being on the client site every week ensures the development of great relationships with the clients, as well as ample opportunities to learn about all industries. The industries Connors Group focuses on includes (but is not limited to) manufacturing, retail, and distribution.
Pros
Per diem, travel rewards as you use your own credit cards to book travel, good benefits, great culture
Cons
Constant travel (depends on the person)

Young, Progressive and Growing Company
Consultant (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PAOctober 21, 2018
Consulting is what you do when you don't know what you want to be when you "grow up", and Connors Group (CG) is a great place to be a consultant. If you are a talented, hard charging and energetic Industrial Engineer, this is the place to be. CG recruits the best of the best and puts them into challenging yet rewarding environments from day one. If you do great work and operate with high integrity, consistent with the company values, they will treat you right.

Client-based, project-based work keeps you on your toes and always learning about new clients and new ways to apply Industrial Engineering.

The constant travel is admittedly a big negative. Travel is Monday-Thursday (sometimes through Friday). If you get home on Thursday you work remotely on Friday. Because of the demanding travel many of the consultants are younger - mostly in their 20's. As you get older and more experienced, I've noticed that CG is very flexible with reducing travel for those who wish to do so (especially for those with families).

The people are great. It's still a small company (less than 100) so the culture still has some little quirks but everybody in the management team cares deeply about doing what's right for the employees and the company.
Pros
Flexibility, Challenging yet Rewarding, Exciting team to work with
Cons
Travel

Opportunity depends on your role
Consultant (Contract) (Current Employee) –  Pittsburgh, PADecember 28, 2017
There is ample opportunity for specific groups of employees. Some of the management is outstanding, but top leadership is hesitant to implement much needed change at this size of the organization, and there is an unwillingness to invest in structure and technology that would improve internal process.

Consulting team has great opportunity to grow - both in career and compensation.

Overall benefits are outstanding.
Pros
Great benefits package, good career growth opportunity.
Cons
as stated earlier, company needs to focus on improving the organization, invest in needed internal technology and improve processes and procedures.
