Fun and Supportive Environment
Paraprofessional (Former Employee) - Conroe, TX - October 31, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe school I worked for was great, and very supportive when I had family issues. My grade level team was the sweetest and made work so fun!! The only reason I quit was because the school day didn't align with my college schedule and CISD doesn't offer part time :(

Good salary but high caseload
Lssp (Former Employee) - Conroe, TX - November 4, 2023
The caseload is unrealistic and impact either your quality of evaluations or work home balance. Leadership also is not in favor of hiring more lssps or but instead uses them to be both lssp and diag at many campuses.

Fantastic environment
Hall Monitor (Current Employee) - The Woodlands, TX - September 21, 2023
Overall fun place to work. Being a part of the bigger picture really overtakes how much money you make. This school has culture, spirit, and valuable tools for each and every kid to succeed. The staff members are amazing.

Straightforward and Busy work
Summer Custodian (Former Employee) - Conroe, TX - September 11, 2023
The paperwork and process was a little disorganized for my liking but eventually got everything together. I started later than I thought I would. As far as work, it's your typical list of things to do everyday and trying to meet deadlines for each school to clean. I was told by many of the other custodians that summer work and school year work are very different and that it's a lot better during the school year. Benefits seem to be great but I wasn't an employee long enough to see those benefits. Management is okay, didn't really bother me too much. Felt like the supervisor may have played favorites/excused certain behaviors from others. But overall, it was straightforward and down to business.

Disorganized but a good foot in the door.
Transportation call center (Current Employee) - Conroe, TX - September 8, 2023
It can be so hard to get into a school district job. This temp position opened the door for many coworkers. The job itself isn't amazing, but this isn't a long term position

Great place
Teacher (Former Employee) - Conroe, TX - August 9, 2023
Great benefits, great district, paid training, one of the best paid districts in the area. I worked for Title 1 schools and for higher income schools, both were great experiences.

Amazing, but subs everywhere need more pay.
Substitute Teacher (Former Employee) - Spring, TX - July 8, 2023
Great job, stable and there is always something to do unless it's towards the end of the year, then some job listings may get slim. But like teachers, there is always a need for higher pay for substitutes as well. It isn't bad, but it could be better as the pay averages less than 15$ an hour.
Pros
Leadership skills, and feeling of making a difference.
Cons
Some school may lack on administration responsiveness due to being overwhelmed.

Room to Grow
Instructional Facilitator (Current Employee) - Conroe, TX - May 18, 2023
Great district under tremendous political pressure combined with huge population growth. Leadership is struggling to maintain forward momentum while not losing sight of the needs of teachers.

Supported & Competitive Pay
Classroom Teacher (Former Employee) - Conroe, TX - May 1, 2023
I felt like I was supported by admin and leadership colleagues even when the help I needed was out of their hands. Competitive pay compared to surrounded districts in the area.

Caring Staff and Superiors
Teacher (Current Employee) - The Woodlands, TX - May 1, 2023
There is a culture of mutual respect among co-workers; but especially among supervisors and staff. I have worked for five years at this school and I have never felt disrespected in any way by a supervisor.
