Legal Secretary (Current Employee) –  Hollywood, FLJune 10, 2018
Daily stress, unrealistic deadlines with current support staff, expects the support staff to work overtime to catch up because they work for 2-3 attorney's including the paralegal

Overworked, underpaid, stressful environment
Secretary (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLApril 6, 2018
If you want to work like a dog in a toxic stressful environment, this is the job for you. They do not have nearly enough people for the workload but they are too cheap to hire more. They recycle EVERYTHING and you are not even allowed to order needed supplies. They reuse file folders until they are unrecognizable and falling apart. Verbally abusive, insulting associates go on frequent rampages screaming at paralegals. Support staff leave for lunch and never come back. STAY AWAY!

Cons
Unreasonable workloads, abusive attorneys, low pay.

Open File Clerk/Receptionist (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLSeptember 25, 2017
Overall, there are some nice people in the office to work with. The partners are all very smart and know law. I've learned something from each and everyone of them.

Do not care about employees
Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Former Employee) –  Pensacola, FLAugust 14, 2017
Nothing typical other than always trying to catch up. Not sure I learned anything here other than I did not want to work there. Management was from a home office mainly, the managing partner in our office was rarely there. Workplace culture, everyone was miserable and wanted to quit. The hardest part of the job was being there. The most enjoyable part was some lifelong friends that I made.
Pros
it was a job
Cons
it is a miserable company to work for

Legal secretary (medical malpractice) (Former Employee) –  Boca Raton, FLJuly 25, 2017
This was the type of firm that was only for those who is willing to not have much interaction at work. The people appeared friendly but had agendas against your success. I worked there for 2 years and was relieved when it was over
Pros
company lunches sometimes
Cons
they need to work on an environment that is friendly to other races

Don't invest too much time here
Paralegal (Former Employee) –  Orlando, floridaDecember 19, 2016
I worked here a long time over 15 years when they decided to close down our division with less than a weeks notice. I was severely overworked working 7 days a week many times plus doing a lot of no billable work in the evening. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I could never make any of the attorneys happy. Each wanted something different so nothing was consistent. They hired very inexperienced attorneys to handle complex cases so there was always something being seriously messed up that had to be fixed and most of the time I was unable to bill for that which would have been ok except I had a very high billable hour requirement so there was no room to do no billable tasks. There was never enough support.

Overworked, lack of support, lots of work with very slow computer system, no employee loyalty

Sweat shop
Senior Litigation Attorney (Former Employee) –  Palm Beach, FLMarch 7, 2015
Typical day starts at 8:30am and ends at 6:00pm. Hours are supposed to be posted daily by the attorney with full description of work performed. This requires working from home in most instances for at least one hour and is nonbillable time. Co-workers were nice and long suffering. Management could not be pleased. Hardest part of job was the constant criticism from partners and threats. Most enjoyable part of the job was the diversity of cases.
Pros
Diversity of work

This place is a good place to get a head start. Don't plan to stay here very often, they hire very immature people and don't know how to control their staff.

Horrible place to work as they expect you act as a Robut.
Legal Assistant (Current Employee) –  Hollywood, FloridaOctober 28, 2014
The clerical staff is overworked and overly stressed out as the Legal Administrator is a micro manager. Computer system is very slow and outdated. Half of the employees seem to be so frustrated and are not friendly and will walk past you and not even greet you.

The Legal Administrator does not have "people skills", and if she has to reprimand you she will do so in an unprofessional manner and in front of others.
Pros
Job Security as the firm is a top law firm.
Cons
No breaks at all, Legal Administrator expects you to sit all day !!!
