So far, so good
EHS&R (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - March 17, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNo real issues. Lots of great benefits and the pay is good. Office is quite, with no pressure from peers. Building is located above the tunnels, so lots of food options.
Pros
Pay, location, perks
Cons
Some coworkers aren't great

Great company
EHS (Current Employee) - Facility - August 18, 2022
Enjoyable work. You get the support needed. Insurance could be better but its a great job. There are many departments and I don't have much knowledge on anything outside of mine.

Overtime
Solar Technician (Current Employee) - Ohio - April 13, 2022
Will hound you for overtime, corporate card for gas money only, trucks are terrible and tools not rated for electrical work, insurance okay, won’t be surprised if the company folds

Cams e&p
Accountant (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - March 17, 2022
You will have opportunities will wherever you go but you have to have the mindset to build and create new ideas. CAMS E&P group let you explore those ideas and bring them in fruition for the clients and the workplace. There is no other place like CAMS that let you be an explorer and creator of your projects and the only limitation is yourself.

Extremely Talented Staff that is Always Willing to Help
Company has the right blend of new & experienced staff. Culture is quiet and reserved, but everyone is willing to share their knowledge and most importantly help others! As a result, this is a great place for career growth. Looking forward to long & successful career with CAMS.

Great work environment being built in the E&P group
Director (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - March 15, 2022
Despite the fact that the company has grown significantly over the last few years, I have felt there has been an emphasis on building a supportive and innovative culture. I personally enjoy the direction in which the company is headed and look forward to my future here at CAMS.
Pros
Open door policy. Push for innovation. Vacation policy
Cons
equity incentive plan. downtown location

Poor management, new hires has zero job knowledges
General Ledger Accountant (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - March 1, 2022
E&P 2022 new top management has zero knowledge about oil and gas business; Company can not keep good skilled employees; new hire are 100% not qualified for job, have almost no job experiences or knowledges. Bad culture.. people are gossip due to lack of work or bad personality. Company's new hire are over 90% not qualified for job... Don't see a good future of this company.
Pros
Downtown location, Open office layout, free downtown parking
Cons
Employees has poor job knowledges; New E&P management from 2022 know nothing about oil and gas

Hr department is the worst!!
Assistant (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - February 12, 2021
CAMS is a nice size organization that could be amazing but they do not have the proper people or processes in place in order to push the company forward. On top of that, the HR department has experienced a tremendous amount of turnover. In addition, the HR Leadership has no clue what is going on. She is not knowledgeable or nice for that matter.
Pros
none
Cons
poor leadership, bad HR

No chance for advancement
Environmental Associate (Current Employee) - Houston - April 25, 2020
Very few stay longer than 2-3 years. Not employee friendly at all. Did not want to allow remote work for the COVID virus for employees who had the setup to do so.

Good Compensation, Poor work/life balance
Combined Cycle Technician Sr (Current Employee) - Waterford, OH - July 26, 2019
Enjoy the work on typical and non-typical days.
Learned about power plant processes.
Micro-managing environment at the plant I work at with no confidence in the employees abilities and assets. (May not be that way at other plants.)
Work place culture seems secretive and dictating.
Overtime is excessive making for a poor work/life balance and low morale.
The company offers an excellent compensation package.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Long hours and can not count on having your scheduled days off.

Fun Workplace
Financial Analyst (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - June 19, 2019
CAMS is a great place to work at, with engaged and willing employees. The company is rapidly expanding, unsure about the pay rate of the firm due to my position in the company.

Senior Accountant (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - March 8, 2019
GREAT COMPANY TO WORK FOR BUT LIMITED MOVEMENT. My manager is very helpful and intelligent and APPROACHABLE compared to others. I was given the opportunity to grow and be better but I feel its time to move up or on.
