What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at ConvenientMD Urgent Care?
The job descriptions are completely misleading. Make sure you see exactly what you’ll be doing. There excuse for everything is that they are “a fast growing company and everything changes constantly”. The pay and benefits are terrible too so don’t even bother signing up for any position other than per diem with minimal hours.
Raises are given based on merit annually to FT and PT people but are generally less than $1/hr. Many less than $0.40/hr. Per firms are not eligible for raises
Zero breaks, 12 hour days sitting in a chair staring at a computer/answering constant calls as a Virtual Medical Receptionist. You have to log all your calls and if you don’t meet their numbers for patient’s registered you get reprimanded. Super high volume.
What is ConvenientMD Urgent Care sick leave policy? How many sick days do you get per year?
You get PTO but that covers sick and vacation. Which you only get a week.
In person interview
2 hr job shadow followed by an hour talk with manager
Depends on which clinic you work at. Some are so crazy busy that it wears people down while others are so slow you sit around with nothing to do.
What is process for hiring? Resume, interview , background check, and preemployment testing?
Resume, phone interview, interview. Background check, physical and testing
Get to the clinic about 7:30. Get everything set up from the front end of things. Wait for patients to arrive to do my job.
