Service Coordinator (Current Employee) – Blaine, MN – January 6, 2019
You do get to have a lot of Fun and Laughter at work. Variety of positions that you can move into as the company grows. Challenges every day if you like to be challenged and are self motivated this is a great place to work.
Command Center Operator (Current Employee) – Peoria, IL – December 24, 2018
I have not worked for Convergint for too long, however, the shift I was put on has no leadership. The supervisor for the shift was always very negative and unwilling to help with the questions I had about the job, as I have never worked with that specific computer program. I brought my issues up to the manager multiple times and nothing was ever done about the situation. There is also little to no room for advancement as from what I gather they do not promote from within, rather, hire someone new to take on any supervisor or other roles instead of offering the employees who have been there for a while a chance to advance. Overall, it is a very negative and toxic place to work and do not recommend.
Employee (Current Employee) – Chicago, IL – November 29, 2018
Convergint preaches their values and beliefs but the employees are not held accountable for them. It can be very frustrating. Management deflects when issues are brought up. Growth opportunities are limited which is understandable based on their business model, but career growth in terms of training's, experiences, and mentors are not available.
Work life balance and the people are the best part of this company. They respect your family life and will allow for flexibility if needed...reasonably. The people who are in the company are also personally very nice and good people which makes coming to work enjoyable.
Service Specialist 3 (Former Employee) – Va – November 10, 2018
Great company with lots of potential. “Only” if management would “listen” to the people that pay for the overhead. Be prepared for a “box” of parts with nothing more than an address of your next job site. Good luck! And a good Home Depot credit line!
Never able “as a specialist with over 20 years of experience” able to do a job walk
Security Project Manger (Former Employee) – Renton, WA – October 10, 2018
The employees were supportive and great, the supervisors were hit or miss with how supportive they were, they could change their minds on a daily basis. The culture and what they are building overall is very good.
fire alarm inspector (Former Employee) – Renton, WA – September 16, 2018
Very well maintained and flexible to a persons needs. Flexible scheduling and room for advancement and open door policy to discuss issues. Very easy to get along with everyone and help each other out to get the job done.
Service Specialist II (Former Employee) – Carrollton, TX – August 14, 2018
If you are single, it's a nice place to work. However, for the technicians, the demands on your time can be overwhelming. If you would like to advance within this company, the best way to do it is stick around and make friends.
Service Technician/Installer (Current Employee) – Cincinnati, OH – May 24, 2018
Fair working environment. Convergint bought out prior employer so there was little choice for us field techs and up. All seems well currently. Community day and "fun" day part of the culture. What else do you want? Its a limited experience thus far.
good company nice people pay wasn't all that great honestly.i worked in there warehouse handling all the shipping and recieving responsibiities data entry etc.. i worked hard and enjoyed being there for the most part..
