Any conviction (whether a misdemeanor or felony) that is within 10 years will cause a retraction of employment contract as the paperwork says that 'employment is contingent based upon completion of a background check'. Those charges which a person has 'adjudication withheld' can sometimes be overlooked. The process of choosing whether or not to accept someone with a background is not done by the 'charge' but what was rather the result of that charge- in other words it's not determined on an individual basis.
