Challenging

Not much team work, some employees were nice. Lost for words. Not sure what was going on. Felt not appreciated nor respected. communication not so good. Some of the best nurse have worked there. The majority of management needs more training. CNA staring rate is way too low, thank God for minimum wage increases.

It's a job. Some days are good some days are bad if you run short. They do give fair pto it's about 2 days per month. They do let you cash in your time if you prefer an extra check.

Many caring nurses and cnas work at Copley. Activity department is amazing and caring as well. Housekeeping and dietary staff for the most part are competent. You get what you give.

To be clear, working in long term care is not for the faint of heart. During my time at Copley, I did not encounter the issues as previously mentioned even though I dealt with the same management. The staff truly cares about the residents. They have events for the residents and they are served actual plates of food in the dining room and not trays. Personal attention focusing on community care.

Healthcare is a hard and rewarding job wherever you work. A small private company serving the community is comforting and feels like your contributing in a personal way. The staff feels like family and supports one another. The residents are well cared for and are also a part of this family. Very frequently visiting multiple staff members in multiple levels on a daily basis.
