CEO/Pesident are kind and caring people. However, they have high expectations. Very heavy work loads and tight deadlines. Do not expect it to be easy, but there is a lot potential for growth if you're willing to put in the work. You get to build great relationships with your team. Everyone is fun and kind to be around.

Very stressful to work here

It’s very stressful to work here with long hours everyday (9 hours shift) and schedule is not flexible at all, and especially when people around you are disunity and attempt to give you hard times very often! Absolutely a nightmare experience here.

Fast- paced & Room for Growth!

I really like that the company owners are involved in projects/ on personal levels with their employees. It has also been a very easy transition working remote during these times and also provided a great work space when we were working full time from the office. This company will allow you to grow in your role and offers new challenges that keep you enticed.

This place is a nightmare

Whatever you do, do not accept a job at Core Home. The company is in absolute shambles. They have zero structure that they chalk up to a "start-up environment" when in reality they have been a money-making company for over ten years, so the start-up line is just an excuse as to why they are too lazy and cheap to hire middle management. For a company that has a couple hundred employees, you would think they have a functioning HR department, NOPE! In fact, they have no employee resources whatsoever. They do not value hard work or big-picture thinking, they prefer barking at their employees and demand projects be done in a matter of hours because "that's the Core way". They call at all hours of the day with no regard to personal schedules on nights or weekends and only point out what you are doing wrong, with ZERO positive reinforcement. The brothers that run this operation do not care what their employees have to say making it very much a "my way or the highway" environment. Company culture you ask? NEVER HEARD OF IT. This place makes no effort to introduce newcomers to the rest of the standoffish team and even tells you to use a random desk on your first day (probably someone who called out sick or came to their senses and left a few days prior). This place is the definition of toxic and accepting a job here will likely increase your baseline level of anxiety and decrease your self-worth. Stay far away.

Toxic workplace

This place is a joke! Poor management and high turnover. they often interview people ask them to do a lengthy project of their product development ideas, steal your ideas then not hire you. People need to stop falling for their scams

Make of it what you will

It’s a really amazing coincidence so many employees were all inspired to submit reviews on October 8th, 2018… Read between the lines: "fast paced" & "never bored" - You will be hired with little-to-no experience and thrown to the sharks. This can be a great way to gain knowledge, or a good way to become chum. Late nights are frequent as projects change last minute or emergencies pop up because of any lack of planning or oversight. There is no amount of "time management" possible to keep up with the amount of work expected of you. "full of young people" & "a great place to start your career" - You are going to be grossly underpaid for the amount of work you do because you are young, female, or young and female. "snacks" - Leftover cold pizza from a meeting? "entrepreneurial environment" - No training whatsoever. If you're not a quick learner you're out... or complained about behind your back until you leave. Or just stay and everyone else has to pick up your slack and despise you. “work/life balance isn’t great” – There is none. If you take lunch you are criticized either directly or behind your back. Vacation? Better have your phone on you at all times! Leave “on time” but the boss needs you 15 minutes later? “Ugh, so lazy!” Positives - The company does design well and understands the value of bringing something fresh to the marketplace. If there was more structure, review process, and QC, they'd be unstoppable, however the lack of any filter between sales/management and design means projects get derailed or are doomed from the start with unrealistic expectations -

Fun, fast-paced workplace; Innovation is a priority

Fun and very young work environment with the company growing really fast. The customer or client always comes first and there is a high standard for product design and manufacturing. Can work long hours during busy times of the year but you're also given full rein of your accounts and/or designs so there is a strong sense of responsibility. I loved collaborating with cross-functional teams - everyone around you is talented and hard-working but also knows how to have a good time. There is a huge potential for growth within the company as it continues to partner with successful retailers and introduce innovative products to the market. Hardest part of the job was the lack of training so you have to be resourceful, assertive and quick to learn from your mistakes in order to succeed. Most enjoyable part of the job is the work culture and trendy product!

Fast-Paced, Exciting Environment

Core is an exciting company to work for. We move at a very fast pace and there is always work to be done. You will often find yourself jumping from project to project which can create a stressful environment at times. But you learn to manage your time and projects efficiently. Overall, Core creates a fun workplace environment and offers a myriad of opportunities to learn and grow.

Great Entrepreneurial Environment

Core Home embraces the entrepreneurial spirit which makes it a fast paced and challenging place to work. You will learn a lot and see your successes come to life, which is different from the generic corporate job where you will sit at the bottom of the totem pole and never see anything being action-ed. You will always have new projects to work on and seek to step outside our skill boundaries to learn.

Collaborative, hands on company culture with great employees

Core Home is the perfect place for an individual looking to work in a collaborative, young, fun environment. The company is growing steadily in the housewares space, so there is new opportunity every day. Everyone is hands on and approachable, so its easy to get feedback, bounce ideas, and be creative together. Account Managers, Designers, and PD all work together to create custom product for different accounts. Core sells to mass market retailers as well as specialty stores, so you will have the opportunity to see how the process runs for different types of customers depending on where you are positioned. While at Core, many employees have the opportunity to travel (either for customer meetings or trade shows, sometimes overseas), which is an exciting "out of office" perk. There are always good snacks and great coffee, so you can save a couple bucks!

Great place to establish your career!

Core Home has truly provided me with a great foundation in my sales role. I am challenged on a daily basis, while working with a great team that fosters growth and new ideas. The fast-paced environment is enticing for anyone that wishes to take the next step in their career!

Fun and Collaborative Work Environment

Everyday is something new at Core Home. You are never bored or sitting around doing nothing. If you are, there is always a project to take on or task to complete. Everyone is extremely nice, caring, funny, and always willing to offer help. You will constantly be growing and learning something new on a daily basis.

Great mix of culture and grown opportunity

It is a fun place with a lot of motivation! You'll never feel bored. The owners and all co-workers are really friendly and have a good attitude, so you will never feel intimidated even though you are foreigners. You'll gain lots of experience and good friends that you can talk to and hang out after work. Especially, if you are a hard worker, there is a lot of opportunity to grown in this company.

A company for innovators!

Core Home is a place where all skill sets will be utilized. Management cares more about innovation versus experience. If you are hungry and excited to bring new ideas to life, you will succeed here! The best part of the company is working with some of the most creative and talented people you will ever meet. The workload can be a lot to handle at times, but you will NEVER be bored. If you have a lot of exciting ideas to bring, they will be heard by the CEO and Founder. The company is Jewish owned which does mean Winter Fridays and all Jewish Holidays are company holidays. In a nutshell, you will gain fantastic experience at Core Home that you won't get anywhere else in Manhattan!

Amazing place to grow and develop your career.

Core Home is a great place to work at. The people are awesome, smart and passionate about work. The opportunity in the houseware market is growing fast and Core Home is well-positioned to take advantage of this, always developing great items. Leadership encourages thinking big and outside the box. They really care about the people and culture.

Fast paced and lots of growth opportunities

Young and fast paced working environment. Management trust employees and support each one of us in the best way possible. They appreciate the hard work and compensate in the end of the year review. Lots of business trips and also trips internationally to attend shows, learn about trend and the manufacturing side! Many Jewish holidays, winter summer fridays! :)

Fast-paced & Enjoyable Workspace

You will never be bored at Core Home. The company is very fast-paced and fast-growing. You can gain a lot of experience and knowledge in your field very quickly. There are always new and different projects to work on. The designers are given a lot of freedom to work with their strengths. Although the work can be intense, there is still a relaxed environment. Summer Fridays are definitely a plus.

Perfect place to showcase your talent

If you are in the market for an employer who values talented and creative individuals, this is a perfect place for you. Particularly great for those who might have just graduated or started working in the field and are looking to gain experience. Management provides new staff with plenty of growing opportunities and trusts an individuals personal artistic expression. You’ll learn a lot in a short period of time and be completely independent to carry a project through to completion. The environment is very fast paced with a lot of fun and new projects consistently coming through. Your cohort of highly talented coworkers will inspire you on a day-to-day basis. New ideas are welcome at all times and management appreciates all voices and takes new input seriously. There is nothing “boring” here, we consistently develop new projects and ideas that you’ll find your day passes in the blink of an eye. I have been working with Core for many years and still find there are a lot of opportunities as well as new challenges, which I’m excited to take on. I’m lucky that I have had the chance to work here, I have pushed my professional career to a higher level, as well as increased my personal quality of life. We all work together to find solutions and improvements on our projects, but team work is the real key to our success. We are consistently designing across multiple product categories with a lot of creative input. We are still growing rapidly and now is a great time to join our team.

Fast paced company with ton of growth opportunity

Core Home is one of a kind place to work at. I have been working there for many years now and I simply love it. The amount of projects can be insane sometimes but for me there is nothing worst than being bored at work!! I was given incredible opportunities to grow and I am very thankful for that. I honestly don't think this could have happen anywhere else! I was also given crazy challenges that seamed just impossible, but management always had my back and was always very supportive. If you're not on top of your organization and eager to learn and grow fast, then it's probably not the right place for you. There is always space to improve and grow and management is always supportive of new ideas that can make everybody's life easier. Over the years, Core Home mutated and grew so fast, that when I look back I can't believe how much has happened! It is so exciting to be part of this adventure. The most enjoyable part of my job is the amazing team I am working with. We do have a lot of fun and we do have each others back.

The best company to work in

I feel very well working in Core Home, I feel appreciated. The management understands and helps you in every moment. They work hard to be in a high level and also they know the value of each employee. I have been working for 4 years and many mores to come. I feel Core Home like my family because they have been with me in bad and good moments of my life
