If management or supervisors were better at their job or even better at training staff, they probably wouldn’t have a high turnover with employees. Employee turnover is usually because of it caused by lack of management or the job itself is hard or not what was expected. In this case, it’s definitely lack of management!!

Don’t do it.No work life balance whatsoever. You are lucky to get off of work even 6 hours after your 12 hour shift is over. They offer extravagant pay and bonuses but that’s really the only way they get people to work.Employees are treated about as well as the inmates.

Leadership is poor, support is nonexistent due to the constant turnover of staff. The negative enviroment is daunting. The positions could be great if leaders had working knowledge of the positions they were over, and not a general idea. Meaning if staff had support and knew that their supervisors would help them, work along the side of them for a better understanding of the realities of the obstacles staff would stay. Detainees are not the con it's the supervisors.

The daily work is doable but the pay is not worth it. We are severely understaffed and management expects case managers to pick up the slack of correctional officers/CCs who rarely complete any of the paperwork they’re required to. We’re given mandatory overtime every other week. They offer anyone to work every day on the weekend but if we’re asked and refuse, management tries to guilt us into it like we’re “not a team player”. We sometimes get free food though sooo
