The working hours for me have been great. I’ve worked every shift and both 8 and 16 hours shifts. My site managers were very accommodating with scheduling as long as the scheduled was covered.

I was contacted by a recruiter after calling an 800 number in a newspaper ad. Was then scheduled for an interview. I was originally hired as PRN but soon transitioned into a full-time employee.

At our site you were scheduled mandatory overtime. However corporate believes you are scheduled 36 hours and you volunteer for the extra 12. So if you call off or on vacation you will only be paid 36 hours.
Also you are not done, no relief coming, until your job is done. Nurse have been stuck for 24 hours or more when new and untrained, but then got in trouble if they left after the 24 hours.

I could've worked 22 hours/day and it still wouldn't have been enough. Lost my home life due to complete exhaustion from my professional life. Being the only provider for an entire prison without any orientation was mentally, physically & emotionally exhausting.
