Unstable work environment
Caregiver/Personal Assistant (Former Employee) - Sioux City, IA - November 28, 2023
This work place is so unorganized They opened up this line of work for extra money for themselves meanwhile they try to hire people they could use. For instance, they want you to travel an hour or more outside of your city but won’t pay for gas , mileage, or the time it take to get there. And not to mention, any clients you do have in the city limits, say that client needs to go to appointments or needs rides all over the city, they won’t cover the gas. And there was one client that only needed one hour of help and loved clear across the city. That’s like doing volunteer work at this point. I work to get paid not to volunteer or keep coming out my own pocket.
Pros
None
Cons
Constantly texting or blowing phone up to pick up random shifts with short notice, no pay on gas trips, very short hours

Micro-Managing and Disorganized
PCA Personal Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Santa fe - November 27, 2023
There is really nothing positive to say about this company. I was traveling thirty miles out of my district with no compensation. The communication is poor with management. I had to go through hoops to get my first few paychecks before direct deposit. They knew about my availability and still would ask me to do shifts I couldn't do. No boundaries. Clients complained they were overbilled for services.

What is the best part of working at the company? They are very understanding and flexible when it comes to employees needs, open line of communication is beyond amazing, they great at offering extra hours, and reward they employees What is the most stressful part about working at the company? We don't get paid drive time to go back and forth to clients homes, If you have regular clients and looking to pick up extra clients and can't when it collides with regular clients hours What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very family oriented and professional you are top priority just as well as the clients What is a typical day like for you at the company? I go to my clients home clock in through an app attend to the basic needs of my client whether that be bathing, meal prepping, laundry, mediation assistance etc, until my day is over than I put in notes into the apps system and clock out and on to the next client and repeat whatever needs to be met at next clients home.

Terrible management
Caregiver (Former Employee) - Pueblo, CO - November 7, 2023
The most work they offer are 2-3 hour shifts, its not worth the gas or time going to these jobs. They will not give you things like gloves to do your job, I was told to buy my own. They have favorite workers that are allowed to be late on shifts repeatedly. Manager is rude and disrespectful. They always have new caregivers, they aren't interested in keeping the same caregivers. You will not make enough money working here unless you beg for hours and can be ready in 30 minutes to take shifts for nursing homes.
Pros
Pay is ok
Cons
No hours, management, no meant to be a long term job .

Awesome place to work
Caregiver (Former Employee) - Granbury, TX - November 7, 2023
Great company to work for, when it comes to working with your schedule, kindness but was told I would get paid different rates per client, but my checks always reflected my base pay. Never got the extra hourly incentives I was told I would get.

Culture of care and support
Operating Director (Current Employee) - Columbus, OH - November 3, 2023
Cornerstone Caregiving has been a life changing career for me. From day one I was embraced by the leadership team with love and support and that hasn’t changed a bit. Through the highs and the lows of business the owners and corporate team are always seeking to help and support the Operating Directors. The job itself is rewarding, providing answers to clients that are navigating recovery from injuries, wanting to age in place, and serving Veterans needing some extra help at home. It’s a blessing to have the privilege to serve as an Operating Director for Cornerstone Caregiving.

Productive workplace, Great management, and awesome benefits
Caregiver (Current Employee) - Bozeman, MT - November 3, 2023
The management is around the clock working hard for caregivers and clients at all times. They have excellent benefits and incentives to show appreciation for their caregivers! The atmosphere is very lighthearted and enjoyable. The most enjoyable part of the job is and always will be the clients. They are the reason we do the job. The hardest part of the job is the change with clients or losing a client. Although it is a part of the job. It does not get easier but the management at cornerstone helps you through those grieving situations. With offering peer support, time off whatever you may need. I've never worked for a job that made me feel more appreciated than they do. They go above and beyond for their clients and their team, so I go above and beyond for them.
Pros
Caregiver incentives
Cons
Changes in schedule

Great place to work!
Home Health Aide (Current Employee) - Bentonville, AR - October 23, 2023
The company had some big changes when I first started. All for the BEST! The office management team is incredible and supportive. They have a great line of communication and there is room to grow. I especially love the client care teams as they do their best to keep the same caregivers with the same clients whenever possible. This has really improved my clients overall care and allows us to provide the best quality care possible.
