I did not know the world of aviation before I got a job in this company. But from the first day of my work, I realized that I did not want to associate myself with any other industry except this one. Working at the front desk, I met a lot of different people and every day was a surprise and always interesting for me. The working atmosphere has always been very tense because of the leadership. The head of the company is a very emotional person. The whole work team depended on his mood. My profession required me to be very vigilant, attentive and perform many functions at the same time.

What is the best part of working at the company?There is no best part. There is no quality of life working for Corporate Air. There are no schedule day’s off. If you are on multiple days trip and do not fly on one of those days, that is considered a day off.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?No quality of life due to the fact there are no schedule days off.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Poor work environment.

Corporate has potential to be a great place to work, after a complete overhaul in the managerial area. There was alot of sitting around while a few employees did the predominance of the actual work. My direct manager could greatly benefit from a course in management, name- calling and use of foul language and insults have no place in the work area. His vinacular was simply to belittle the line and instead of providing solutions.

The whole company lacks integrity and is built upon smoke and mirrors. When the owner is not in court he is usually screaming obscenities at some employee.Take a look at their D&B report that alone should indicate the lack of competence to run a legitimate business. The FAA regulations are meaningless and safety happens by accident and diligence of the pilots. Good luck if you decide to work here you will need it.

High traffic & exciting workplace with airplanes!

Working at Corporate air follows into my passion for airplanes and wanting to be a pilot. I went threw A LOT of training to be able to work in and around private jets and smaller private aircraft and I appreciate all of the knowledge learned for I feel it won't be in vain someday. A typical day usually started off sending off a number of airplanes in the morning - that included re-fueling, meeting pilots needs, towing and marshaling. Everyday had an organized sheets of what planes and the times they are coming in and leaving to be able to better prepare for they're arrival and or departure. Some aircraft required more special needs such as catering for customers, rental cars, de-icing (depending on weather), lavatory work, and oil or maintenance. Near the end of the shift it was required to re-fuel the fuel trucks and keeping records. As great as it was to be able to work around object Im passionate about there was cons such as how the management was towards the lineman in behavior. We are/were the first and last people customers see (the foundation of the company) but was looked down upon and unrecognized with no room for opportunity to grow within the company - Unfortunate and disappointing in my opinion.

A typical day at work was to keep track of what flights were coming in and which were going out. Needing to take a much info from the incoming pilots to to create an invoice an also needing to get as much info from outgoing pilots as to possible diversions to flight based on time, defreezing. Most of the pilots and staff knew information needed to given to me and were usually always compliant

Good place to work and get great experience being around aircraft

Typical day at work would be refueling aircraft, helping tow aircraft, washing customers cars, making sure hangars and facilities are clean, and providing assistance to our customers. I have learned a lot of different thinks from providing better customer service to working well with co-workers. The management is very good they are good people and make working for them enjoyable. My co-workers are fun to work with and make the day go by smooth because everybody has a great work ethic. The hardest part of the job would have to be dealing with unhappy customers and the most enjoyable part of the job would be getting to meet people that you would not normally have the chance to meet.

Constantly challenging and changing

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - West Mifflin, PA - August 22, 2012

Post flights and routine inspections of various small to mid-sized corporate jet aircraft were the easiest part of the job. It was challenging when faced with odd and emergency type problems that require different types of troubleshooting techniques and solutions. Also, when doing larger, more in depth inspections of the aircraft, I learned much more of the aircraft systems and structures.
