Management covered their own mistakes by making new employees look bad. Management also pushed high interest loans (30%+) on customers that had no way of paying them back. Also, new employees were taken advantage of just to be hired for a short period of time then fired when manager returned from vacation. The justification for the firing was the manufactured mistakes mentioned above.

Extremely high turnover rate with the average employee leaving at 4 months of employment, Branches do not do follow-up which results in Member dissatisfaction and their lack of confidence and trust in Corporate America.

Very Stressfull. Insufficient training, Job/Position insecurities. To much Office Politics between V.I.P's and Management.

1. A typical day at work:
Answer: Most busy on Mondays, meetings.

2. What you learned.
Answer: New products to sell to customers.

3. Management.
Answer: Depends on who is your manager at the time and what department. Not to many managers from when I was there, only 8 in the Administration office.

4. Workplace culture.
Answer: The company promotes from within, so there is always opportunity for advancement. If someone’s office door is open, it’s okay to come in to ask a question.

5. The hardest part of the job
Answer: Not being able to help our customers with their accounts.

6. The most enjoyable part of the job.
Answer: Able to services our customer and resolve account issues. Making our customer happy that they had opened an account and will be helped when they need it.
Pros
Vacation time are; 1st year 2 weeks.

No overtime.

Great company to work for closed every Wednesday work only 4 days a week easy going employee in every department helpful and great to work with. The VP's are so helpful and easy going, best job i ever had and the least stressful job. The staff was awesome this company put alot of time into training. Your vacation and sick time off is not seperated its all in one for you to use as needed.

I love what I do, just don't like working 2nd shift. Management team is great, very supportive and flexible to your needs. Usually take about 30- 50 inbound calls daily.

The department for member center entails lost of computer work, as well as communication to leaders and co-workers throughout the company. Consistent work ethic and superior customer service. Very low key facility and friendly staff.

A typical day is getting yelled at by customers over the phone for 8 hours, and relying on luck to get manager help if needed (and it's needed frequently - basic aspects of the job such as password resets require manager approval, and heaven help you if you need to contact another department and can't get through to a supervisor for approval to call out). When you can actually get through to a manager, they are great. You don't get to move around, standing desks are not allowed. What breaks you are allowed to take is never clearly explained. If calls are in queue, you will get nasty emails reminding you that there are only a few acceptable things to pause to notate, but you better not miss notating an account for any reason. When I describe my job to friends, they have said, "it sounds like a prison".

when we enter the work place in the morning, all other co-workers are full of energy, very warm welcoming to each-other, share their experiences, talk about family and friends, helpful. I would say - CAFCU is the most enjoyable work place.

Very fast paced call center. Received all incoming calls. Built new client relationships settle account disputes. Transferred funds between accounts. Cross sold various products to to help improve clients financial status.
