You learn something different everyday. Ability to learn something from peers and Managers. Ability for hands on training available to see what customers are looking at when trying to help them remotely.

Challenging environment due ongoing changes and realignment at corporate level
Xerox is completely revamping their corporate structure and this is impacting day to day operations significantly. Work culture at COTG has been negatively impacted by this.

Local Executives hands are tied
Too many erroneous decisions are being made at Xerox corporate level which are destroying the culture and processes at the branch level. Yes, some branch consolidations should have been done years ago... but outsourcing is not the solution.

Great employees. Great Leaders. Great Processes. Customer Service Driven
Cons
Xerox changing direction, Xerox executives have no clue on how negatively their decisions will impact our accounts.

Not A Culture To Learn From
The company is driven only by sales quotas. While managers say they will help you grow professionally and personally, the game of the next deal, does not allow time for it. Leaders lack reinforcement and skills to develop their staff.

If your in the industry look elsewhere
Dishonest service practices in the field condoned and encouraged.

Customer focus is ridiculously and constantly disregarded.


Field service metrics are a joke, constantly moving goal posts and ridiculous call back parameters make it almost impossible to attain the set goals unless you cheat or are in managements circle of trust.


Micromanagement is beyond belief, you will have to ask your manager to replace parts and provide pictures of failed drums, fusers, anything over 100$ Your ability will be questioned on EVERYTHING you do in the field regardless of experience. Quite degrading.


If you have experience, get ready to do twice the work to get a machine up to spec. only to get berated by your FSM for going over the days budget. NO ONE has due diligence when servicing devices, they will all be in disrepair of some sort because of the lack of ability to repair the machine correctly due to budgetary constraints.


Your territory will vary 60+miles regularly depending on who quit that month or "didn't make the cut"


They will throw you to the wolves. If you have no experience be wary, there is almost NO support from Supervisors or Managers. If your lucky you will have a peer that has some integrity left to help you. When your head is underwater most will step on your neck an let you drown. Ive seen it and its a shame to the industry and the brand.


If you have any integrity in the business be prepared to compromise it on a regular basis with no recourse. This is not a positive experience and you will only pick up bad habits and negativity. Save the trouble and move

There are better companies
Before you consider applying for this job it's only worth it if you get to apply in the home office if you're applying for field service technician or a facility technician you are forced to drive your own car with lower than State mileage reimbursement technicians receive a monthly bonus that's based on a numbers game you are forced to play technicians also receive zero free lunches or any other types of gifts from cotg once a year they will send you maybe a $25 gift card unlike the people who work in the office get multiple free lunches events and opportunities that the technicians are not even told of little to no advancement unless you work in the home office ,office environment in work culture is like high school for the most part
If you are considering this as a career opportunity look somewhere else.

fun placed to work and friendly people help each other as well and if anything they'll always come up to you and tthey also give 1 month of training and the time frame aswell.

A great group of people to work for and very attentive to their staff. My manager is one of the best manager's I've ever worked for. I highly recommend COTG to anyone looking for a career that can help you grow

Fun coworkers, but a lot of micromanagement
You get a lot of rejection in copier sales and not a lot of support from COTG. They expect so much and do not help in achieving those goals. I would not recommend to a friend.

upper management was arrogant refuses to listen to multiple experienced employees
Has great potential of a Company but somehow they managed to not see beyond tomorrow, preoccupied with techs achieving a production or minimal part cost number at the risk of making a client unhappy which will eventually cancel their contract. Culture short on allowing proper time to do proper training on new models.

Ok place to start a sales career
The coworkers are great, and it can be a fun place to work. Management is not great, with hard micro managing from the president! A lot of your success at COTG is luck, depending on where your territory is located, and when you start. Some new reps don't get a new territory within the first year.

responding to service calls in timely matter
work is not bad, only thing It takes time is getting from point a to b, lots of driving, big area to cover, good place to gain skills when it comes to digital printing, hardware side, as well software and networking side, day could be all mechanical issue or it can be software or networking day as well calibration setting up print servers, copy quality issues and similar. Want to expend skills on software and networking side, not so much when it comes to hardware or mechanical issue.
management is alright, reasonable when it come to time off, ordering expensive parts than is necessary to resolve problem, sometimes little bit on micro management but nothing that can't be handled.

senior management has let company fail
everything became expense saving at all costs, utilize used parts to save a few bucks and yet would promote several layers of management with little span of control, bringing in a VP of service who never was in service related position.

Fun place to work and great work environment and people
support the major account reps with there big accounts. I do there paperwork for clients. I also am the account major for some of the big accounts. I order supplies for the office, make sure the office is clean. Support the directors and VP of sales. The people i work with are wonderful and so kind.

very productive and good place to work, friendly people
COTG is good place to work, perfect for entry level people, there is lots of development,learning involved with new hires, overall this place is good to work, there is always something to do, never bored, very productive place, non stop something is going on, from lots of repairs, to sale orders
