Great when you have a good boss which is rare. When your not being yelled at or talked down to or not supported its good. It's good when I can make decisions to make the place better without someone above me trying to stifle creativity and play the slow it down card while reminding the beauracracy is alive and well.

If you're in management they occur when your boss likes you otherwise you get less increase percentage than other peers. If your a bad manager you get promoted and they create new positions. If your doing good things you do more for less pay and must be grateful to have the title without pay.
