Don’t waste your time.

It’s a revolving door. They hire 20-30 people at a time, not even 5 left after a year. Compensation is way over promised. Nothing but stress and rude customers

Stressful and no career advancement

Unrealistic goals. Crazy pressure. Shady management!!! Don’t waste your precious time. Some pro’s is being able to take off and good medical and dental benefits. That’s it

Money hungry with poor ethics

Poor management, training is horrendous. You can ask for training and will just be ignored, they are more concerned with being friends and promoting friends than working. Management will directly tell you friends in the company is more important than how well you do your job.

Pros

Free cable and discounted internet

Cons

Horrible work ethics, poor management, illegal practices

Now I know why they aren’t Union

Supervisors and their superiors lie. They like having all the power and do not pay well for the work demanded. You do not have the opportunity to plan your route accordingly as you see fit, as described in the actual job description on their website. They do not know how inflation works. They look for employees who are less educated on unions and how the real world works, people who are easy to control and do not expect much. Being a non union company, they can pay you whatever they feel is appropriate and nothing can be done about it. For comparison, the competition is Union and pays between $35-$40 an hour for less work. If you attempt to stand up for yourself and speak the truth, it’s labeled as insubordination. They refuse to do the right thing by the employee. Aside from free cable and internet, the job isn’t worth your time.

Pros

Medical is good, free services as well, company van

Cons

Management lies, pay not equal to job demands, non union

Not what it's described to be

Job performance all based on a numerical metric. You are held to a strict performance standard and to meet that standard you are forced to cut corners to meet time performance goals.

Competitive pay. Great company culture.

Comprehensive training and emphasis on learning knowing the product. Great work/life balance. Management understanding and committed to helping you reach you goal. Great compensation and incentives(ie., all expenses paid trips for top salesperson) Good benefits. And free/discounted service.

It had its ups and downs but not a terrible place to work

It wasn’t too bad. My first manager was the worst experience I ever had, then I got moved to a different department and that manager was the best I ever had. It was a heavy call load and the customers were rude. You were expected to get right on a call after getting cussed out and called all kinds of names. It was wild.

Eh

Its easy job but no support and everyone is rude. If you care about customers this isn’t the place to work. It’s hard to be a good rep with no help.

Ok place not to bad to work from home

i enjoyed the job overall just had no work life balance due to the 4 day 12hr shifts and the hours from 2pm-1am was stressful. Managment for the most part was very helpful and treated me with respect.

Pros

Great pay and benifits

Cons

Too many calls. Rude customers, managers weren’t bad, but def felt like a number and nothing more. Did have options to leave early if needed if calls were slow probably only good thing

Technical Support? More like sales associate.

Tech support was actually a prized position when i started. Before "centralization", the job focused on its regional customers, and assisted out of state when they had their own crisis. After "centralization" the job became unbearable. Mandatory sales requirements, termination loomed over you because you didn't upgrade someones plan, etc. Outsourced calls to third parties that were never trained correctly. Always fixing everyone's mistakes. Positions to move away from phone time were rare and far between, and training for other departments was unheard of. The stress to perform was unreal. I'm glad i no longer work there.

Cons

Inhumanely stressful

Work hard get rewarded

Great place for a career and growth. You have to put in the work and the opportunities are endless. Commission is great but again you have to be willing to apply yourself.

Outstanding Employer, hope to retire from Cox.

Cox provides opportunity for growth, opportunities to volunteer and impact our community and has a supportive and inclusive management team. I am provided opportunities to work remotely but work from the office as I decide if I want to network, attend a meeting in person, etc. I work hard to produce excellent results and am rewarded for success. I have been in the workplace for 25 years and the last 10 with Cox. This is by far the most balanced large company I have worked for. Hard work and great results are rewarded with promotion and competitive pay. On the flip side, you can be curious and pursue stretch assignments or training and there is a supportive environment to allow you to learn as you go. Also, leadership has a healthy approach to work-life balance, if you produce excellent results, nobody is micromanaging your day.

Pros

Competitive Pay, solid benefits package including 401k match, fertility treatment, life insurance, pet insurance, etc.

Cons

Aetna for healthcare

Great place to work

Great place to work. Great people and environment. There is plenty of work and the company takes care of their people. The cable industry is a young person's game.

No matter how good you do the job you will not be accepting

Went in for one position, ended up in Order Management proved my work ethic and did not help me. I was let go because I was out sick and it does not sit will with the management brand.
