I have enjoyed my two years traveling with Cross Country
Travel RN ICU (Current Employee) - Nashville, TN - August 29, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? My recruiter is amazing, and most everything such as onboarding and education is very streamline. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Sometimes, forms don’t save. However, staff work with you quickly to get things resolved.

Travel Nurse RN (Former Employee) - Boca Raton, FL - August 15, 2023
As long as everything was good with your hours, Cross Country was a good agency to work for, but if a problem arose it was hard to get to the right person to fix it.

Good
Registered Nurse (RN) (Current Employee) - California - August 7, 2023
Every travel agency is recruiter dependent I have a good recruiter so my experience hasn't been bad. When I have pushed back on my rate lowering she has gone to bat for me. The only downside is they didn't pay for my recertifications recently. But so far so good I get PTO, 401k and health benefits is I wanted.

Great travel nurse experience
Travel Nurse (Former Employee) - Florida - July 25, 2023
I've done 3 travel assignments with Cross Country now and they've been great. It's been an incredibly easy process, and I've been lucky to have been placed with a recruiter who is really on top of it! She's been very accessible and checks in frequently during assignments. Any hiccups I've had have been minor and resolved same day. Looking forward to taking further assignments in the future.

I did enjoy the first two years as a traveler with cross Country but my last couple of assignments were terrible.
RN Travel Nurse (Former Employee) - Boca Raton, FL - July 11, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Recruiter I had worked hard for the best rates . What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The onboarding process can be daunting as a few of the onboarding ambassadors are less than helpful What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not sure about how the company is , contract facilities aren’t always the best. I have had real problems with some staff having an absolute hateful view of travel nurses in general . The culture of hospital staff towards travelers is not what it use to be.

A great company in the travelling healthcare industry, you can trust this company
Senior (Level 3) IR /Neuro Technologist (Current Employee) - Oklahoma City, OK - June 29, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The people. They are good people who take care of goood workers. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The clients we work for and all the unknown. Usually there is a reason a hospital has to bring in travelers and it’s very difficult to see until your there and halfway through a shift. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Be professional , show up where n when your supposed, do your best and make a ton of cheddar. I mean bricks of cheese man. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Hard work and then a fair wage for my hard day’s work.

Just okay
Over saturated market and the culture here can make it tough to excel. Overall a great company to work for, but the company is changing and the market seems less than stable.

Wouldn’t recommend anymore
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) - Maine - March 9, 2023
My first contract with Cross Country was pretty smooth. My recruiter wasn’t very responsive or even helpful really, but I didn’t have issues come up I couldn’t handle myself. Second contract was where it fell apart. I applied for another job and when I would reach out to my recruiter for a follow up, I wouldn’t get an answer for days. When the answer would finally come, it was always that she would know something by the end of the day and would let me know. I would never hear anything back. This went on for well over a month. In that time period, I missed out on numerous jobs. Finally, I called their corporate line and asked to speak with a manager. I wanted to switch recruiters. Over the next couple weeks, I was sent to 3 different people, all who I left voicemails with. I never received a call back. I finally went with another company and have found a job rather quickly. Overall, I do not recommend this company. There is no follow up or follow through. To me, they don’t seem to care about their workers because they are still making their big money. Cross Country was not worth the hassle.
Pros
Higher paying contracts
Cons
No follow through, no help, no communication

Good until it wasn’t
RN (Former Employee) - New York, NY - February 23, 2023
I was a travel nurse here. Onboarding is very tedious but once that’s done it gets easier. My recruiter was good until she wasn’t. I was accused of breaking a contract I never signed. I didn’t sign it because the offer initially presented was lower once I was ready to sign and I was given excuses. Aside from they have several staff members working with you and they don’t communicate with each other. For example you will tell your recruiter you’re going to renew your credential on a certain date and then compliance is harassing you daily to renew said credential.

Unprofessional & Unorganized
Nurse (Former Employee) - San Diego, CA - February 9, 2023
Will lowball you with offers of employment. Called with an offer one day and changed the rate of pay the next. Applied for a specific location and was told it was unavailable when in fact it was not.
Cons
unorganized, unprofessional
