Operations (Current Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – January 8, 2019
This company tries to work with the temp toys when they have family emergencies, need time off, or when they are just planning of needing a break. Nobody from this company has ever yelled at me or treated me negatively. The managers do not believe and cussing or swearing, which is hard to find in a transportation company. The great place to work and make a career.
Not a hostile work environment - very little swearing
Manger (Current Employee) – North Dakota – January 8, 2019
I have been with CrossCountry for a few years and have had many opportunities to advance and learn different aspects of the company. There are many great team members and managers. There are many opportunities to challenge yourself and grow. Overall, it is a great place to work!
Director of Operations (Current Employee) – Fargo, ND – January 8, 2019
CrossCountry has a good culture of collaboration and cooperation and management cares about each employee as an individual. Management is always reviewing employee compensation to ensure we are competitive in the market.
Dock Worker/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) – Sioux Falls, SD – January 2, 2019
Employees are not very friendly, a couple of them like to threaten you, depressing workplace. Most of the management are arrogant and treat you bad, you can’t go to them for any kind of concerns because they don’t care, hostile work environment, don’t recommend this place to anyone. If you have personal issues that you have to deal with they’re not understanding of that, if you’re sick and call in they lecture you for it, not a good place to work for!
Current (soon to be ex) employee (Current Employee) – Upper Midwest – December 15, 2018
This company has taken a liking to reducing labor costs by encouraging high turnover to avoid paying benefits for a couple of months. They will lie to your face to get a bit more productivity out of you. Encouraging people to work with their new, "purchased at the lowest price possible," equipment is "modus operandi" at this company... if you're lucky. If you get into an incident with this company's equipment then you can expect them to be at your back... not!
Bottom line... this company is about encouraging corporate greed at the expense of its laborers. If you want to exploit laborers, then this company is a perfect fit for you.
It’s all about getting the most out of each employee. Do not care if you have a family or life outside of work.
Driver (Former Employee) – Eagan, MN – August 21, 2018
New management has very little knowledge of the trucking industry or how to treat people. All the dispatchers have less than four months Dispatch experience. Your days are long and you will only have time for your family on the weekend. Most of the equipment is old and not maintained very well. They do have some newer trucks, the new trucks break down about as much as the old.
They don’t care about people even though they say they do. Use people to extreme hours, no family time
Driver (Current Employee) – Kansas City, KS – May 10, 2018
Horrible people. Promise the world but will use them to no end. They get rid of people that actually care about other personnel and their jobs. HR will release people without hesitation and/or justification.
Don't waste your time with them. Good job for temp employment
Supervisor/Manager (Former Employee) – Minneapolis, MN – October 26, 2017
Company does not care about their employees. There are far better trucking companies out there, I would not recommend you waste your time with them. They've been in business for over 30 years but they're still trying to figure things out.
Poor management, Too much hours, Unclean work environment
CDL Class A Driver (Current Employee) – Eagan, MN – August 16, 2017
Many long time employees at CrossCountry. I would attribute this to the culture/environment. Stable company with plenty of freight to keep driver's busy. LTL trucking so you get some customer interaction too. Safety is a high priority and they utilize technology well so there's not much paperwork.
Clean trucks and trailers, good reputation, home from routes at night
Very busy, this place is for those that like to work
