How did you feel about telling people you worked at Crossroads Treatment Centers?
There is a certain stigma that goes along with mentioning "methadone", however, I was honored to care for all persons that sought recovery. Working for Crossroads Treament Centers however, is where the shame lies.
It's all about money and CTC makes money, lots of money, so they will succeed. The small clinic I worked in dosed around 125 clients daily at $11/dose. Around $1400 per day, $10,000 week. That doesn't include the suboxone program and charges.
Grueling work for counselors and front desk staff. You are lucky if you get a few minutes per day as down time, and because of constantly being short due to turnover, you will be overworked and underappreciated.
Is this a good Management and Employee workplace that communicate to each other?
No Management is a joke and staffed by Individuals that are not qualified to be in the positions/roles that they are in. Lack of communication is one of the BIGGEST issues at Calhoun, GA Center.
How do you feel about going to work each day at Crossroads Treatment Centers?
I'm so disheartened that it's affecting my mental health. I've given everything I've got professionally to my center for almost two years, and not only have I in no way been rewarded, we're now expected to take a 20% pay cut while working even harder than full-time because so many other counselors have left. We're treated like we're more disposable than a used paper napkin. I loved this job, but I'm going to have to find another one because I'm now crying in my car all the way too and from work each day because of the way we're being treated by management.
There are no lunch breaks. The policy says you are entitled to two 15-minute breaks per day. You will be so busy, you will not be able to take them. They have smoke-free campuses, but staff smokers constantly go out taking far more than 30 minutes per day.
There won't be time to get certified as an addictions counselor because the employees don't last long enough to accomplish that
