An organization where you can take a lot away from
A great organization to be an intern at, although they lack in communication. You will constantly know what the meaning of "on call" is, especially on weekends. Write your billing notes when your with the client, and tend not to think too much about how to write it.

Be prepared to bring work home with you
Working with the public was enjoyable. They claim to value their employees but do not treat them as such. Work was difficult and often took long periods of time to complete. They don't let you leave until work is finished, but also refuse to pay you more than 40 hours.

Great place, great people!
Great place to work! Great people to work with! Team based approach to client care. I’ve done multiple roles at the agency over multiple years and have had great experiences. I choose to stay employed here for many reasons: positive relationships with staff, high regard for the leadership (current CEO), get to work with a wonderful team, passion for helping clients, get to work with awesome community partners, fair treatment and pay. Would recommend!
Pros
Flexibility in individual schedule, benefits, growth opportunities.
Cons
Fast paced work environment so requires dedication, organization, time management, team and communication skills.

Great job, living in a small community and having to spend 10+ hrs a week traveling, it made it hard to keep up with paperwork. The company itself is great to work for.

Be Careful Before You Join This Company
The CEO has no vision or leadership skills. She doesn't know some basic skills of running a business or best practices. You will need to be silent and join her crew. She will try to evaluate you as your interact with her. Only 3 Executives left after countless number of people being fired. They don't treat people fairly across the board. HR Director has a very cloudy view of the role of HR but she'll make you feel like she's your best friend. Watch Out? They try to take advantage of people salary and benefits, no increases at all. You will never believe that this is a non-for-profit community center. Directors, Chief Financial Office, and Chief Operating Officer be care to leave a good job. At the end, you will end up being terminated no matter what.

Do not work here
Stressful, overworked, not appreciated. This has been the worse job I’ve ever worked at along with many other co-workers of mine. The co-workers learn from each other, no supervisors know what they are doing, and simply do not care.

Great place to fulfill a mission of helping others. Supportive peers.
Opportunity to grow in roles and responsibilities. Attempts to stay up to speed on technology. Frequent changes but getting better at communication between all departments and leadership. Difficult, but rewarding career. Good networking with other agencies in the areas.

Rewarding job
I loved working with the clients, although they had their days. The management was awful and drama between coworkers was always started by the management. I felt belittled, unvalued, disrespected, etc. almost every day by the management team. They don’t seem to care at all about the part-time staff because they seem to be “replaceable.” Although it is a rewarding job, overall it’s a negative work environment.
Pros
Work with kiddos
Cons
Poor Management

Time for a change
I like my job at Crosswinds. I worked there for ten years. When I left it was time for a change for me. Crosswind went through management changes in the last three years that I was there and it made the working environment a little stressful and unpleasant.

Co-Workers are great to work with, management is in discourse
Co-Workers are great to work with but at this time, management is very unorganized and in discourse with each other and their staff. Can be a stressful to work at times, but rewarding when working with clients.

Poor Leadership and Management Skills
Numbers/dollars driven
Looking for robots vs. humans

Condescending management

CEO is an account

Supervisors can't be trusted with personal information

Set their employees up for failure on annual evaluations

Good work is not acknowledged or rewarded

Evaluations are numbers driven; successes are not considered

Allow no room for cultural diversity (One size fits all)

Inconsistencies throughout management team

What is considered "right" today, may be "wrong" tomorrow.
Pros
Salary was okay
Cons
Hopeless atmosphere, good works go unnoticed, focus is on number of billing hours rather than clients.
