The culture at CSG has a good work life balance, and people are very helpful in terms of assisting you doing your job. In addition, you are constantly learning and apply new things.

Duplicitous Manager
Support Specialist (Current Employee) –  Omaha, NEDecember 8, 2017
Many mixed messages, condescending manager, very stressful and long hours ... unreasonable at times

Some team members are great people, and very helpful. In a 20+ year IT career, I have never worked for a company with such poor orientation to the business and disregard for life outside of work.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Long stressful days

PRODUCT SUPPORT ANALYST II (Current Employee) –  Omaha, NEDecember 3, 2017
Typical workday for a product support analyst is to answer client calls and work to resolve their issues. All of my co-workers are awesome and very helpful.

I’ve been working at CSG for two months. So far I have to say not only are the benefits good but the management is very good. They treat their employees well. They listen to employees and care about your work. I’m very to be a part of CSG.

With the recent change of PTO to "unlimited" CSG is trying to be competitive and attractive to more workers. They have a laid back atmosphere which is nice.
Pros
Flexible working conditions, unlimited vacation
Cons
Pay isn't the highest in the industry

Fun work environment. Lots of employee benefits. Felt like you were part of a team. Lots of training opportunities and advancement opportunities. The technology appeared to be advancing as well.

LAN Administrator II (Former Employee) –  Oxnard, CAAugust 25, 2017
Not much changed after the sale of Dataprose to CSG. Definitely no training, so there was no hope of advancement. If you don't want to work in Colorado or Nebraska you might want to look carefully at CSG. The are some foreign locations such as Italy, Germany, Malaysia. Your mileage may vary but this is a mid size company that is going to be around for awhile. You might get a deal on your cable.

Forward looking company. Fast paced dynamic team oriented. Top heavy. Allows telecommuting options, but does not pay utilities. Trying to stay current with the market in benefits.

Lead/Advisory Systems Analyst (Current Employee) –  Omaha, NEAugust 17, 2017
Executive management is out of touch with everyday. All development teams are understaffed and overcommitted. Technical managers are too hands on and micro manage and do not understand how to coach and develop people.

Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Englewood, COJuly 20, 2017
Typical day at work involves customer interface to intercept/understand software issues/problems while trying to maintain expectations to deliver new software for a different audience.
I learned that you can't do the work of 4 people formerly on this same team when it's only yourself and 1 other person. CSG is very customer focused which means your personal life is sacrificed greatly.
The culture is that people are actually very nice but the lack of direction makes it hard to find out what the priority is at any given time.
The hardest part of the job is initiating work requests with other internal teams to actually accomplish larger goals at CSG.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that I do get to sometimes work with very talented individuals and collaboration among high performers is great.
Pros
unlimited vacation
Cons
Work is so stressful you can't take any vacation

Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COJune 29, 2017
I loved working at CSG until the new CEO took over. He was a great person, but under his command staff changes were made, and those of us who worked there for long periods of time were suddenly let go for pretty lame reasons. With current management, I would not recommend working at CSG to a friend.

Contracts Administration (Former Employee) –  Englewood, COJune 5, 2017
Difficult to say because I was only on a contract. Employees not very friendly to contractors. Wouldn't work here due to management issues. Supervisors were very unwilling to assist with any questions.
Cons
Contract work. No health insurance benefits. Bad supervision.

Quality Assurance Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Omaha, NEMay 30, 2017
This is a very good company to work for with excellent benefits. The main issue is that this company supports business software solutions for global cable and telecommunications companies which is an industry in a great deal of transition. Because of this, it is uncertain what the future holds for this company.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
Frequent layoffs, uncertain future
