Great place to work
Legal Clerk - Foreign Attorney (Former Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 1, 2018
Was hired for a special project by contract, recieved all the support I could get from management to do my job. Following up is hard and securing permanent employment is difficult without someone to pull you in. As a student, the pay was very good for me.
Pros
Flexible hour, good pay

A congenial atmosphere. Great place to work with interesting broad client base. Standard hours for New York firm. Variety of matters handled by firm allows for exposure to many different areas of law.

Collaborative and friendly staff and attorneys. Sometimes fast-paced and typically busy. Ability to cross-learn within different departments - real estate, litigation, banking, etc.

Good environment
Senior Associate (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJune 8, 2018
Good place for work life balance but not sufficient opportunity for advancement. The people are generally nice and great to work with, at least in most of the litigation department. Other departments are hard to judge due to lack of crossover work. There is no partnership track, which is an impediment to professional advancement. There are many attorneys who stay on as associates past the 10 and 15 year mark.
Pros
Good work life balance.
Cons
No opportunity for advancement.

Started Out Great
Litigation Paralegal (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 26, 2018
Hardest part of the job is struggling to grow, there isn't enough training. Billing can be a problem and induce a lot of pressure. The most enjoyable part was working with the co-workers.

Legal Secretary (Temporary) (Former Employee) –  Garden City, NYJanuary 18, 2018
I worked for the firm a long time ago. The supporting staff was nice. I didn't like how the office was situated. Felt closed off. It was temporary.

I was attorney for the firm which represented lenders. This was a great opportunity to work in real estate financing and mortgage closings and to familiarize myself with loan closing documents.

No Job Security!
Legal WP Secretary (Former Employee) –  Garden City, NYApril 17, 2017
It would be a great place to work, but there is really no job security. the firm is known for lay-offs every 1st of the year. Regardless of how long short your tenure, everyone is subject to lay-off, that is how they balance their books and keep the money flowing into their pockets. Everything else is good, benefits and perks. They take care of their employees while they are employed.

Professional excellence from top to bottom.
Associate - Banking & Corporate Departments (Former Employee) –  New York, NYApril 3, 2017
There is a reason Cullen and Dykman LLP is the second oldest law firm in New York- professional excellence from top to bottom.

Also, the work-life balance still matters there.

Mailroom Clerk/ Office Administrator (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 22, 2017
I really enjoyed my term of employment here and the firm allowed me to carry out more duties over a period of time giving me a sense of importance. Had the office not relocated, I would have never left.

Not Great
Paralegal - Banking Department (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 5, 2016
Job was professionally interesting for a Paralegal at my career status, although the Partners became less forthcoming with billable work assignments -- giving those assignments to the Legal Secretaries (Legal Assistants) .This results in layoffs for Paralegals who were not billing enough hours.
Cons
Age Descriminatory
