Store Manager (Current Employee) – ME – June 3, 2019
Store Managers are compensated well when bonus time rolls around however when you incorporate the unrealistic expectations to work open to close shifts multiple days a week due to staffing shortages the bonuses do not equal out. Managers and staff alike need more support on the floor to serve the customers. Work/life balance is not a consideration.
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee) – Queensbury, NY – July 22, 2019
A typical day happened between the hours of 11pm-7am, and being a gas station that means survive until the beer cutoff at 3am. It was not the drunks or large groups of people that made it bad though, it is the people who are scary good at making friends without even knowing a name. Watch out for those. The work is not technical at all, there is a checklist with about four hours of work on it and a list of things to check in any free time. Sounds easy but a good boss is needed to get people in who will at least do the mandatory checklist and push people out who got through the screening.
