Cbx (Current Employee) –  Santa Monica, CAMarch 22, 2019
I worked here part time. The shifts ranged from 2 hrs to 4 hrs. I wasn’t always allowed to ride which was supposed to be an incentive to work there../

Would not recommend working at CycleBar as an adult
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Columbus, OHAugust 23, 2018
For a high school student or a college student looking for a free exercise class, this could be a decent job. For an adult, this is not a good place to be. Pay is extremely low, management in my case was extremely unprofessional and incompetent. This could have been an enjoyable job if management had known how to run a business. Hours are always low and shifts are usually only three hours long.
Pros
Free classes
Cons
Low pay, low hours, inexperienced management

Rider Experience Specialist (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCMay 1, 2018
fun place to work. You can work out and get paid at the same time. You meet lots of like minded people who enjoy fitness and exercise. On a typical day you wash and dry towels and place them on each stationary bike for the next class, place cycle shoes in cubbies for the next class, make sure studio is clean and neat including bathrooms, lobby, locker room area and cycle theatre. Promote the franchise and brand by doing community events. Greet riders as they come into the studio. Answer any questions or concerns that they may have. At the end of shift (if working evening shift) take out the trash. Help the instructors with anything they need. Assist riders to get set up on their bikes. Help riders to purchase packages/memberships and/or merchandise. Other duties as assigned by management.
Pros
free work outs
Cons
not enough pay

This was a fun part time job and the shift goes by quickly since you are cleaning the facility during classes and spending time with the customers/riders before and after classes. You get to wear fitness clothes to work and meet a lot of fun people passionate about fitness.

Bad place to work!
Employee (Former Employee) –  Laguna Niguel, CAApril 10, 2018
Owners dont know how to run a business or manage! Flacky reneged on the highering salary. No benefits. Cant keep good employees and quit without notice. Days of canceling classes due to lack of instructors and frustrated clients. Consistent push for new memberships. Cant keep dedicated clients. Not intrested in promoting business to all clients. Lack of building relationships within the community. Stay clear of this studio!
Pros
Short shifts
Cons
Owners do not know how to run a business or manage, No benefits, cheap discounts, no hours, High school drama

Awful people
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Fargo, NDApril 4, 2018
CycleBar looks like a great place to any outsider, but the majority of the people who work there are terrible. The woman who owns the Fargo location is absolutely horrendous and will do everything she can to make your life miserable.

I only worked as an instructor at Cyclebar and loved every minute of teaching there. Management positions are tough because you have a lot of different information coming from different places.

Front Desk Receptionist (Current Employee) –  Mequon, WIJanuary 25, 2018
A typical shift is only 2-4 hours sometimes 5 on speical events. The workplace cultural is that of a family. The hardest part of the job is understanding you are the lowest rank. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to attend classes for free.
