Job was stressful. Management didn't care for their employees not one bit

Indeed Featured review

Is a easy job but management makes it hard. They set goals that no one can reach, they don't want you to talk to anyone. This job is like a prison, they don't want no one talking. Management don't know anything on how to run their business. No room for advancement they got a very high turn over rate (very high). Managers hide in the aisles to try and catch some one on their phone. .

Sucked

HR department is non-existent. Locked upstairs where you can't talk to them. Don't answer the phone, don't answer emails. Supervisors don't care, don't work with you to fix problems. Inadequate training for auditors. No mentoring. Favoritism is rampant. No accountability. Safety is a word...nothing more.Work life ratio to home life ratio is bad....mandatory ot.

Run away!

I started with this company almost 2 years ago. I use to love coming into my job and working each day. Everything just went down hill. HR don’t know anything, the handbooks changes without anyone having copy or know what’s going. They can’t accurately tell you how and when points will fall off. All this for $16, with a .10 raise every year with our facility being #1 center out of all them. It’s a rip off, and if you value yourself more you’ll look for something else. It’s not worth the stress. This is why they’re always having hiring events.

Pros

The shifts

Cons

Everything is cons really, management is horrible and unknowledgable along with HR.

To much tension

You could be suspended for anything such as dropping one box which could be for a week or you could drop a pallet and be suspended for as long as they figured it to be.

Pros

The night shift supervisor would talk to you about how to improve your work.

Cons

The lead people were always watching you as if you were stealing, never let you know if something was been done wrong

To much stress even for the good pay.

Managers and supervisors are no good. They do whatever they want, there is no consistency in rules or regulation from one shift to amother. They just want you to move product as fast as possible but they will give you a warning so fast for any little reason. It's almost like they don't want you to succeed. The amount of favoritism is so much if you don't kiss up to the supervisors they will treat you like you don't exist, but if you are buddies with them you can get away with anything. There is no strong communication between the managers, safety managers, trainers and supervisors. They tell you one thing in training and on the floor they do something totally different. It's just not worth it!

Pros

The pay

Cons

Management & the long hours

1. Safety is important but yet they have you driving bad/torn machinery every day. 2. People been with the company 2 plus years and never seen any on

Terrible!!!!! managers only come to the floor if it’s something dealing with the product or an accident . Other then that you won’t see them.Unless you have a random drug test . Company cares more about the product then the associates!

Pros

Pay rate 16.10

Stressful and unreasonable

The actual work is easy, however the knit picking by management gets to be overwhelming. Very little recognition for hardwork and constant barrage of derogative remarks of not meetings very high personal goals. The equipment is constantly breaking down. There is not enough break time for the amount of standing throughout shift. Management could careless about your well being(ex. Dr notes aren't even suffice for an excused absence). HR doesnt really exist other then in processing and out processing. Their is no incentive to keep reach operators as they are paid the same as sitdown forklift operators (less stress on the body). Schedules are insensitive to family life balance for hourly employees. The company holds safety to a high regard but over looks the fact of demanding a fatigue employee to operate equipment during a 50+hr work week. Favoritism is very obvious among certain groups of employees. You are deceived from the moment you interview with this company. They convince you to leave your place of employment and you don't see the low moral of employees and their reasons until about a month into being with the company in your actual position and understanding the negative culture there. #truth and honest truth being as bias but truthful as possible.

Pros

Pay is reasonable

Cons

Unbalance of work and personal time, low moral, high employee turnover rate

not enough time off

worked there for 3 years on a 2 day on 2 day off schedule. first they ask for volunteers for overtime but if they dont get enough people to volunteer then they make it mandatory for everyone with no notice in advance. this is every 2 days. managers sit in office instead of watching personnel on floor. lot of employees waste time by standing around. most of equipment used is ragged out dont do pmi on equipment waits till broke down. safety is joke drivers run thru stop signs, dont honk at intersections. 12 hours shift with 2 10 min breaks and a 30 min lunch. has a high turnover rate. people dont last long there.

Pros

wages

Cons

too much overtime, bad equipment, poor moral.

Stressful environment

Company changes management to much causing confusion of set goals and known rules of the company. More of a 'if you know someone' type of place. Employees are not treated fairly at this site as one can get away with someting the other cannot.

Pros

pays well

Cons

long hours

Has a decent starting pay

12 hr work days rotating schedule. Occasionally mandatory overtime which can get very stressful and exhausting. Management can be hard to deal with at times.

Good Company

Good place to work, found another opportunity, management could have been better however but they did their best at the time. Benefits were good, had medical, dental and vision, not very easy to take time off as it was not many of us at that time. We had to make sure someone covered our shifts which could be difficult at time.

Great place to work

The company is great to work for the only downside is the pay rate i was driving 1 hour and 45 mins for 14.50 hr. You would get your hours with the company . Management was very open with the hourly employees . Everyone there knew how the work as a team .

Pros

great place

Cons

its alright but...

I worked there for 2 years! I was likely wanting to make this place my last job but they one day they just gave us a whole entirely new company schedule without notifying us at all. so were working more 12 hour shifts. If you're a stand up reach your legs with hurt from all the hours they make you do. They don't care at all if you talk to them about anything. The work is easy. For this company to give 12 hours shifts they need to give us better breaks and lunches. No recognition at all if you go above and beyond.

Cons

short breaks poor management

Very military

All management has military background and everything is very structured in everyday business. No grace periods for being late so everything has to pretty accurate in what you do. Lunch's are short for non-management associates as well as breaks. Also, can't leave the facility for lunch have to bring food or eat out of vending machine.

Cons

short breaks and lunch's

nice clean work place

i like the work place. Just would like to get more hours. i pick cases. learned to operate a walkie rider correctly and safely. management helps a lot with things i cant figure out or don't know. the thing i don't like most is the short breaks. the best part of the job is finishing orders on time.

Poor Management and HR

This is the worst Human Resource department I have ever experienced. The Human Resource Manager lacks respect for all employees. If you want to work in an environment that is appropriate, and respectful do not work here. Favoritism, bullying, harassment, and manipulation is what you will experience here. People leave this environment due to it being mentally exhausting and unfair. You are set up for failure from day one, you will be belittled on a daily basis, and you will leave feeling defeated. Well managed companies do not operate in this manner. This is not an example of a professional managed company at all.
