Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Transcriptionist in Daily Transcription
Loved working there but...
Transcriptionist, Independent Contractor (Former Employee) - Remote - April 12, 2023
Loved working there but there's barely any work when they're in their low season. You could be assigned one job in two weeks. Pay is weekly through PayPal for international contractors and check for US contractors. Love their HR and Project management team.

Flexible schedule
Transcriptionist (Current Employee) - Remote - October 10, 2022
This job gives me a really flexible schedule so I am able to be available when my kids need me to be there for school functions or sports or whatever. Some of the work is more difficult than others, but all in all, it's pretty straightforward. You get paid weekly which is great. I'd definitely recommend this company if you're just looking to bring in a little extra money working from home.

Good place to work if you need some extra money
Transcriptionist (Former Employee) - 6701 Center Drive West, 3rd Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90045 - May 23, 2021
However, you'll need to put in a lot to get good money out and you'll need to be consistent in putting in requests for work. There's a steep learning curve if you don't have previous transcription experience, so if you aren't very fast immediately, you'll probably take a long time to do minimum work, which doesn't cash out very much because you are paid by the minute of the audio file. There also might not be enough work-- I was let go due to lack of workflow. But if you're applying when they're busy and you do work regularly, you'll probably be good. Extremely flexible because there are no minimum hours required, as you are an independent contractor, but if you aren't requesting enough, you will be the first to be let go.
Pros
easy money, very flexible
Cons
no benefits, hours cap, must be very good/fast for it to be "worth it", no guaranteed work
