Business Manager (Former Employee) – USA – August 9, 2018
The company doesn't give you a clear direction. The CEO and president Dan Daniels does not value education and seems to make decisions irrationally but more so based on his mood for the day. I watched multiple people get less commission than they earned per the plan due to "they have made enough money." This company is out of touch with the market place and do not price accordingly.
Decent Salary, ability to work remotly
Owner, Management, deceptive business practices, vacation is unheard of, poor work life ballance
Team Member (Former Employee) – United States – June 21, 2018
Stay away from this company. You'll just get a phone call one day knowing that you're fired without any reason. It doesn't matter how great of a worker you are. At first they'll promise you advancement, but everything is just a lie. So disappointed in this company.
To me its a good company to get drive time experince. It will give a lot of duties to be preformed each day so you will learn a lot of delivery experince. But the pay do not match the work. And the management does not communitcate that well to assure of your duties.
Driver (Former Employee) – Bronx, NY – February 7, 2018
This company's demise is imminent. There is absolutely no potential for advancement. The customer service is horrible. Supervisors are completely oblivious and dispatchers have no logistical or geographical knowledge. All of the Routes are mixed up, it's a mess.
Started out to be a great place to work but changed with different management. very discriminating.
Customer Excellence Manager (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – November 29, 2017
It was a great place to work the first 5 years of employment. New management came in and it went down from there. The management was very discriminating and made sure there was no witnesses. Loved my position. There are a few great people still working there if you are lucky enough to work in the same department. The company did have a good work/life balance.
Driver (Current Employee) – Florida – November 28, 2017
Managment only cares about making a buck, they will tell you everything you wanna hear. But they really don't care about you. Which explains the high turn over in employees. There's no safety culture. Keep driving with the tire that's about to blow up. It ok. This company is as FAKE as they come.
Productive work place. Very high paced at times. Management and co workers were easy to work with
RMW Production Associate (Former Employee) – Easton, PA 18045 – September 21, 2017
Typical day at work began with being at your station on time. Communicating with 2nd shift about what was complete and incomplete. All mornings began with starting autoclave on time. 1 employee off loading trucks, 2 employees filling bins with product. I learned that everyone must do their part to keep things running smooth. Management was more than fair giving us time to get things finished. The hardest part of the job was the general labor itself. A lot of heavy lifting and moving. The smell from the product could be heinous at times. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the individuals I had the opportunity to work with. Great group.
Business Development Specialist (Former Employee) – Kenosha, WI – September 5, 2017
Company is very friendly they try to offer a relaxed atmosphere with games and office participation, photos, etc. The employees there are very close knit, and really rally up to their managers/supervisors- there is room to grow if they like you. Managers take care of certain groups of people.
Proximity to the Downtown Chicago
Expectations no real Growth and Diversity is low, Healthcare is Very High
Driver (Current Employee) – California – August 28, 2017
Daniels sharps is a great place to work in the CA area the operations manager is a great boss, couldn't ask for a better manager, the workers at Daniels are awesome and the CEO are great people as well.
Good management great work envierment
Healthcare benifets are extreamly expensive, repetitive work
RMW Lead (Current Employee) – Sturtevant, WI – August 24, 2017
Ok place to work if you can deal with the contents and the pay for doing it. In my opinion it would be a good job for a first timer somebody just getting out of high school or trying to pay for college. Not to much of a career there.
Production Worker (Former Employee) – Orlando, FL – August 15, 2017
While the weekends off and PTO are nice the overall company is a dead end to most. The product itself is superb but the management is terrible ! Probably the worst I have yet encountered.Good workers are over stretched to compensate for others that are not only lazy but accommodated for there bad behavior and not held accountable! Horrible team work due to lack of management discipline and direction.Machine necessary for production is constantly breaking down hindering production numbers. The compensation is below industry standard initially ( though they will say its "Competitive" ) and raises are virtually non existent,or if acquired is laughable. While I believe the CEO has a great product I feel he is either misinformed about his management cultures lacking or chooses to embrace its anemic structure by design .My suggestion to current employees or potential employees is don`t expect to stay long , this is a band-aid job for most to get you to better opportunities .Suggestion to the CEO is to start implementing an actual training program and merritt system to advance your more productive workers into eventual managerial positions to further teach incoming employees properly to create like minded individuals.Quality over quantity ! And lastly have a meeting via Skype or in person with each plant management staff and give them a full understanding of communication and its importance because they greatly lack this skill set and you are losing great workers due to this deficiency.
Poor leadership, lack of teamwork and communication, no advancement
Growing Company, with some things which need to be overcame.
Manager (Former Employee) – Chicago, IL – June 6, 2017
Company is still growing in the US and Canada. Company moves in ever changing directions and fails to recognize the work, dedication, loyalty and efforts of some. Dan Daniels is a brilliant, and honorable man, the main issue is, to many others get in his ear and it has a very negative impact on the entire process.
Best product that is in the Medical Sharps Disposal Business.
They appear not care about Teams Members/Leaders who sacrifice whatever it takes to ensure success.
Service Technician (Current Employee) – Illinois – April 19, 2017
This company has a great product, but there overall company is sadly to say the opposite! They never give raises and if they do it's just small change. I've been with them 3 years and have only received 1! I never call in sick because there is no one to help do my work. Basically this place is just a job and if you do work for them DON'T STAY LONG!! MOVE ON QUICKLY!
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Gadsden, AL – March 29, 2017
Daniels Health has a poor rating of employment. Very high turn over. Very unorganized and not a good place to work at all. Plant manager has no idea what he is doing and it makes it harder on the employee and the customers
