You accumulate 8 hrs per pay period, Bi-weekly. Earned time, that you use for sick, holidays and vacation. If for some reason you are out sick for a long period of time, you need to make sure you have a Dr's note, because they will count that as an unexcused absence, and try and get rid of you. They are very deceitful, no advancement, low pay and favoritism.
