If you were in charge, what would you do to make DCS Corp a better place to work?
I would improve the virtual reach-back support capabilities for acquisition processes and documentation. DoD Acquisition can be rather convoluted and challenging. Having a familiar resource to draw upon is helpful in a fast paced environment.
A typical day really depends upon the Government customer you support. As a project/program manager it is a typical 8 hour office day reviewing program support elements, planning future activities, and documenting required information per DODD 5000.XX series of guidance.
From time to time there is required travel to meet and review aspects of the program.
The best part of working for DCS Corp is that it is an employee-owned company. DCS is still small enough that the CEO and COO travel to meet with employee-owners to personally update them on the growth of the company.
DCS is a big company that still feels like a family-owned business.
It depends upon the program you support, but generally there is some flexibility of when you start and when you finish the day. Flexibility can be spelled out in the contract under which you work
The time spanning from application to accepted offer is wholly dependent on the specific circumstances of the position. In all cases DCS seeks to expeditiously identify and hire qualified and capable candidates for every position.
