Large international law firm
Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal (Former Employee) –  Mountain View, CAApril 3, 2018
Dechert LLP is a pretty high-paced firm with offices all over the world. The attorneys at the firm are hard working and expect the paralegals/support staff to work hard as well. With that said, Dechert is also a nice place to work. Most folks are kind and will explain their expectations to you. There are a lot of social events and firm parties that make this a fun firm to work for. Overall, Dechert is a good firm to work for. It can be very challenging at times due to litigation deadlines and such but it is also a fun place to be. I enjoyed working there very much.
Pros
Wide variety of cases. Firm sponsored events/parties.
Cons
Some days can be very long/stressful

Extremely stressful working as a Global Word Processing Supervisor
Global Word Processing Supervsior (Former Employee) –  Philadelphia, PADecember 5, 2017
Extremely stressful working as a Global Word Processing Supervisor. Responsible for the word processing work for offices around the world. Directly supervised 13 word processors to whom I had to deliver annual evaluations; and one on one communications at time about the quality of their work. I had to set up training classes as needed; meetings with other offices. I had to go to New York for 3 weeks to train their new Word Processing Supervisor.
Pros
Unlimited days off - very competetite and fair salary
Cons
Stressful - there was never any down time and their expectations were perfection every time.

LEGAL SECRETARY/ TRAINER / TRIAL COORDINATOR (Former Employee) –  Palo Alto, CAJune 26, 2017
I loved working with all the people at this firm. The Dechert office was previously part of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly. Very close teamwork.

I was able to take an office paperless and learn all types of new software hardware programming. This culture to allow you to do different types of work to keep the position extremely interesting.

The hours were extremely difficult and very demanding. However, it was worth every moment.
Pros
Great Office Administrator / Managing Parter (At the time I worked)

LITIGATION PARALEGAL (Former Employee) –  Hartford, CTMay 26, 2017
The litigation department was non-existing except the appellate practice. The attorney was never in the office during business hours.

It was not a very friendly, conducive atmosphere.

Legal Secretary (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CA 92614February 17, 2017
Top notch legal professionals and attorneys, under pressure to produce at all times. High focus on quick turnaround. Micro-manage all issues around time. Difficult to attend to issues requiring time off. Promotions within legal staff extremely difficult. Mid-level managers micro-manage. Communications improvement would be helpful.
Pros
