At Grand Canyon General Store in the village certain individuals with no ppl skills (including towards co workers)would repeatedly get their way(squeaky wheel I guess)and then defened when I mentioned it....employees are being hired with the implication of fulltime and benefits but are actually being hired as parttime so no benefit elgibility.(I found out accidentally when I didnt get holiday pay)..never got a straight answer on this, the so called handbook is not really a handbook. This would be a nice place to work if good employees weren't forced out by bullying or rude co workers..my housing was good
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Delaware North a better place to work?
I would hire managers that weren't trained by the folks back in New York Delaware North Buffalo I would hire people that had a heart compassion treated you with dignity and respect which is a total 180 of Delaware North managers I'm just saying
These scum of the earth companies that have sprung up to charge low income people (for "pre-employment" physicals, background checks, drug tests, TB tests, vaccines, etc., resulting in $100's if not $1000's of dollars that must be paid for the privilege of a low paying gutter level job) must be investigated and regulated. Any employer that juices people for these "services" (without even any guarantee of subsequent employment) needs to be fined. Freaking scum.
It gravely depends on what division and job location you are at but over all it is not real family friendly, nor is the pay scale worth bragging about.
