Fun place to work

Management is lacking and there is not much opportunity for advancement. Can be stressful at times if you are in technical support dealing with unhappy customers all day.

Good Place to work

A good place to work your way up to the leadership. It can be challenging to navigate the political environment but overall the people there are professional.

Productive but low work life balance

Great place to work, good benefits. Tight deadlines which may impact work life balance so you need to draw the line. Excellent PTO and benefits. Open to Remote work

It's what you make of it

A ton of outbound calls with little light at the end of the tunnel. High sales quota. Ok benefits. Great team network in place to help with your success.

Great place to work and build your career

I strongly recommend you to join Dell Technologies. This company really leads storage solutions and drives innovation. Great career opportunities across worldwide. Don't hesitate to look at opened positions and join Dell.

Pros

Really competitive or above average compensations & benefits and real work/life balance approach.

Cons

It is so hard to find any. So far, I am so excited so cannot see any area for improvement.

Was a fantastic environment, but that has changed.

The culture has shifted significantly over a ten year period. Used to be a wonderful company, but had valued their employees less and less with time.

Great place to be fully remote

If your into remote work, especially in Seattle, then great place to make that happen. Career can kind of stagnate though, but that may also depend on the team you're on/org you're in.

Pros

Fully remote, ample PTO

Cons

Pay is below market

Great place to work

Many opportunities to network and many places to advance your career. Compensation is relatively good, and work life balance is wonderful. Recommended.

Great company poor management

The company itself is excellent. However, management typically assigns work completely out of your job requirements. If you are an I6 employee, prepare to do the work of an I7 employee and get the pay of and I5 employee. Pay is just not fair and raises just aren’t good enough. They burn out their employees until they get laid off or leave voluntarily to a different department or company.

Pros

Good company culture

Cons

Poor management and unfair pay

No guidance, boring

I did not have a good internship experience. My support staff did not provide any assistance to my very complicated project, and I was still judged harshly for having a weak final outcome.

Challenging and financially rewarding

Great place to work at. encourages remote working, even before COVID hit. excellent base pay, bonuses and LTI awards. Center of the world is in Round Rock, Texas.

Good Company

Sales can be challenging at any company. Dell seems to be above average compensation. Challenging but rewarding.

Great place to work

The people are awesome! They make the job much more fun to work with. The company gives you everything you need to make the job easier. Decent pay and benefits are top notch.

Being thrown to the wolves.

The training is substandard for the work that is required. Being assigned to shadow a senior person who has no desire to train you makes working here disadvantageous. It was one of the more negative experiences I've had in my career.

Pros

No hassle when time off was needed

Cons

Overwhelming work expectations.

Excellent Work/Life - Pay increases slowly without connections

Dell is a great company to work for. Fantastic benefits and work/life balance. In the large business and enterprise segment, it becomes very difficult to over-attain quotas by more than 10%. With set accounts, it feels like regardless of how hard you work, you make x dollars. Promotions and pay increases have been few and far in-between due to market coniditions.

Work horse. Sweat shop

Bad management. Too many disparate work ethics from labor union mentality for workers who have been there for ages that doesn’t match new momentum that new employees are brining to the organization. Job descriptions do not match reality.

Cons

No work life balance. Micro management-

Its a nice place to work

Nice place to work. With opportunities to learn. I got laid off, but no hard feelings. I would work there again. One thing…there were times I wish management communication was better. There was a lot of “go-do” and my manager was not very collaborative. But overall, I enjoyed working for the company.

Diversity dishonesty

They manipulate interviews and interview people who are diverse with no intention to hire them. Executive placements are based on friendships and the HR function is part of the problem. The pay in HR is sub par and so are the leaders in HR.
