Great Company

Great company to work for. Great benefits. Socially advanced. You are in charge of your career. Don't expect to be held by your hand by management to lead you down the path to promotion etc.

Pros: Intelligent coworkers, good client portfolio, challenging workCons: Overworking certain people and not compensating for it. Hard to jump teams if you don’t have great experience. Won’t let you switch to ARA.A lot of cost cutting measures - negligible bonus, poor salary increase, lack of work events

Great Place to Work

Loved my experience at Deloitte. Very generous with time off that could accumulate and be rolled over into the next year. Can be long hours at times but never necessarily felt overworked.

Great learning experience. Poor mental health

Great place to learn. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time. Work life balance is okay if you get a good/nice management but if not your mental health with greatly decline.

Benefits are good but WLB sucks

Depending on your project and how well it is ran, management can pretty much make or break you. The Work Life Balance is more like Live to Work balance. There are so many requirements for you to pass compliance. Benefits are decent

Company’s great, work life balance not so great

Great company, Nice people, good benefits, but you’ll have ti work all the time. It does depend on the service line and role you’re in, but there is flexibility

Good pay and benefits but very unprofessional when revenue is down. They will kick you out.

Overall good. If you’re not productive be prepared to be let go. Must work 45 hours a week to maintain high client hours. Management will say you don’t have to but been here long enough to see others get let go for not working 45 hours minimum. No overtime since it’s salary.

Free well being subsidies to pay for exercise or gym

Must be available for any shift. Any project. Extra hours.

Great culture and great people

The people are very supportive and very nice! Long hours for sure as every accounting firm. The partners are very easy to work with and they are reasonable.

Challenging but also rewarding

I learned a lot during my time at Deloitte. I was there for over a decade and met some really great people. Long hours though, went through many periods of burn out.

the company overall is a great company, amazing perks, free lunches etc when working on engagements, well being subsidy of 1K every year. but the audit hours can be very long and exhausting

Invaluable advisory experience, however, overall performance review is a pass or fail. It does not matter if you do well on other projects.

What is the best part of working at the company?Training at Deloitte University; firm name recognition; What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Seeking projects to be part of, and when you are in a project get ready on hard deadlines and long hours. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? As known for, long hours or very long hours. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Depends on the project you have been accepted to be part of. It can be long or very long hours.

Depends on Your Team

Good benefits and lots of young professionals, but some teams work more than others. Your experience will vary a lot depending on the team(s) you are assigned to.

Awesome work

Can't complain about anything. The pay is great, along with the opportunities and especially the culture. There are tons of benefits. I always look forward to my yearly well-being allowance to be refilled.

Don't expect work/life balance

Deloitte offers great benefits and fairly decent salaries, but there is not a lot of work/life balance. There is an expectation of working 50+ hours per week as a manager and even more as you progress.

Great benefits, and thats it.

Stay for the benefits, but other than that Deloitte is terrible. They do not help you find project work at all. GPS sector is a joke and people in commercial are overworked,

Lack of support when problems are raised

I was staffed into projects that were clearly not aligned with my knowledge/skillsets, with managers refusing to communicate. When I raised that during check-ins, nothing was done.

Great place to start

Looks great on your resume. Great PTO + weeks off, good benefits. Corporate culture can be very draining. People will kiss up to you just for working here.

Great stop along your career journey

Deloitte is a great place to learn a lot in a short period of time. Executive leadership has great intentions for the direction of the company and is truly committed to DEIB principles. It was tough to break in as an experienced professional because there is a LOT of corporate knowledge that you miss during those analyst/consultant years. Veterans seem to do better on the specialist track versus the traditional track (I wish I had gone specialist). Benefits are great but work life balance can be tough. It all depends on the leadership of the project you find yourself on from moment to moment. Overall, I'd say it was a valuable experience that I'm grateful for.
