Fun place to work, employees weren’t very nice
Agent/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 18, 2019
Love me the job, at the time I didn’t have a car so I gave them specific hours I could work and they scheduled me to work opposite of those hours so it ended up not being a good fit

Security Officer (Former Employee) –  Valdez, AKApril 17, 2019
I worked in Valdez Alaska and the crew i was on was great however the supervision was horrible. The Captain held no one responsible for their actions, Sergeants were lax in training and in their leadership abilities. Pay was just barely enough to get by and the pay raises were about 13 cents a year.
Pros
easy job, not difficult.
Cons
poor management

Security Guard (Former Employee) –  Anchorage, AK 99515February 25, 2019
Great atmosphere with good people, most people start off with working 12 hour days for 7 days straight and then 7 days off. This job is good if you have business to take care of on your off days.

I was a cashier, stocker (Former Employee) –  Midtown ChevronFebruary 14, 2019
Its a fun, energetic, safe place to work.. Learned a lot of be patient and sharing is caring. Practice in some area the formula of good communication and teamwork, learn and understand to respect others as you respect your self.
"A character opens the door, and friendly natural smile of personality leave the double door open." Practice "diversity" in work place, people do matter from different cultures, be a people person, practice "open book policy". Equal employment opportunity. Be fair, be honest and be respectful of others. "Unity is our strength"
Pros
Inventory, Promoting sales and less customer, The revenue after bills is not profitable to maintain along term goal
Cons
Is making sure, We control inventory and products deliver, By ordering base of merchandise needed. Up sale product in promotion, Making sure we suggest a seconditems to go with coffee, For example. For us to gain more knowledge of taking care of customer

Work here while you look for something better
Security (Former Employee) –  Blaine, WADecember 26, 2018
The Sergeants are great, but from there up it gets bad. The pay is abysmal, though they try to make it sound like working 12 hour days for 2 weeks straight makes up for it. Because of this, they are quick to hire the first applicants they can get that bathe semi-regularly and can read, though it takes them months to fire the ones that endanger others through ineptitude. The reality is that you work as the lowest paid employees at a refinery that can realistically become dangerous if people don't pay attention. BP seems to do a good job, but the Denali training is horrendous. They lost most of their trainers, and stopped paying trainer wages to the ones that were left. As such, sometimes getting consistent training is like pulling teeth. Most of it will come from the overworked and under-appreciated Sergeants. And despite all of this, their biggest sticking point is facial hair. No, you do not need to wear an SCBA. Ever. Security's job is to set up evac stations in an emergency. They maintain a para-military aesthetic at the expense of the comfort and professionalism of their crews. As far as security jobs go, it's pretty easy to get. If you need one badly, or you're young, take it and move on as soon as you can. The attitude is that you should feel lucky to have a job at all and, most importantly, they do NOT care about you.
Pros
Most of the old timers
Cons
Management, environment, culture, Non BP training, etc...

Security Officer
Security Officer (Former Employee) –  North SlopeNovember 3, 2018
The job is not security, it is bus driver, baggage handler. If you want to work in a boring job making a bit more than dish washer and cleaning person this is the job for you. The company wants you to have a CDL/ P and a ETT cert to work for 20 or 21$ and hr. the cost to get these certs is quite expensive. If you are not part of the good old boys network meaning a former cop/ Trooper you will not advance. They will start a former LEO at 22 per hr and non-LEO at 20 or 21 hrs and you both are doing the same job. They do not want people to stay very long because of having to pay you more each year that is one of the many reasons they have a high turnover rate. The pay is above average for security work overall but most do not require you having to have a CDL-P and a ETT cert. The leadership is all former Troopers and the daily briefs are run as so to the extent of polishing your boots. There is a safety culture there and you will get a neg write up if you violate something as simple as not wearing safety glasses in the truck.
Pros
2 wks on / 2 wks off, chow is good
Cons
Poor leadership and some confusion

Poor Mangament
Security (Former Employee) –  Port Arthur, TXOctober 22, 2018
The Managers does't fight for his employee's and is a company yes man. Your best bet would be to keep to yourself and keep your private life away from this place. Its has a lot of favoritism and the pay is OK but you have Security Officers making more than your Security Supervisors. Your main duty would be to be a glorified admin, janitor, or maintenance worker not SECURITY!!

Typical security job...
Security Officer (Current Employee) –  Blaine, WASeptember 14, 2018
it isn't bad for a security gig. If you can handle no excitement for 12 hours, then perfect. Two week rotations, so you get 2 weeks off every month, but you can pick up a lot of extra shifts in the off weeks. Overall, not too bad for a security job. The people that work there are pretty cool.

Dead end job with horrible management
Security Officer (Former Employee) –  AlaskaAugust 24, 2018
Easy jobs with horrible managers that like to micro-manage everything. If you didn’t retire from law enforcement you will never move up. They pay has actually been going down over the past few years instead of up. at least half of the employees spend all day talking about how they hate their job.
Pros
Free time to find a better job
Cons
If your are not retired LEO you will never advance. No pay raises, benefits are horrible, micro-management etc....

Long hours of nothing happening, trying to stay awake and engaged with your surroundings. There is almost no room for moving up in the company but as a part time job it is good. The long hours stink but the time off makes up for it.

Good Dead End Job
Security Officer (Current Employee) –  Washington StateApril 19, 2018
The pay was good but the Management was atrocious. When management faiks to hire and retain employees, they threaten termination to the people that dont come in to cover shifts after working a couple 84hr weeks.
Over all, something to do when you dont feel like being at home.
Pros
Supposedly Two Weeks Off Monthly

Not the best job, but not the worst
Security Officer (Former Employee) –  The Woodlands, TXApril 9, 2018
Denali universal services wasn't a fit for me, but if you like sitting behind a desk 12 hrs a day it might be for you. The site supervisor is awesome and will help out where he can, it's further up the chain of command that takes the security officers for granted even after being told during orientation how well Denali treats their employees. They don't pay overtime, it's straight time until you hit 40 hrs, which stinks when you take time away from your family on your days off to cover shifts.
Pros
Benefits, week off (when you can get the full week) and the ability to watch unlimited amounts of youtube
Cons
Low pay, no overtime pay (until you go over 40 hours), uncomfortable and crumy made uniforms, having to cover the reception duties
