Horrible place to work
Social Worker (Former Employee) –  Dent towerAugust 3, 2018
The psychiatry clinic has a horrible culture. Gossip. Discrimination. Hostile. Any LCSW-R should steer clear. Nothing is good enough, the other social worker is unprofessional and dishonest. One of the PAs runs a mean girls club. No good social worker should lower themselves. The pay is low. The insurance starts far from day one. Stay away.
Pros
Drug rep lunch
Cons
Culture of gossip and discrimination

Awesome providers and extenders, management terrible.
Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee) –  3980 Sheridan DriveJuly 23, 2018
the doctors and their extenders are wonderful however management is terrible. no praise and no constructive criticism. you'll find out you did something wrong when you're being written up. they will also promise you performance based raises however you will be lucky to receive a cost-of-living raise at 2%.
Pros
good PTO, great health benefits
Cons
low pay, minimal raises

Awful employer
Office Staff (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, NYJuly 10, 2018
They promise a lot about the position up front. They promise raises, promotions, and a great workplace. However, none of it is true. Working here is like being in high school again. If you aren't one of popular and hot managers, you're basically disposable. You get told what to do and can offer no input. For being such a prestigious medical facility, ignorance and arrogance runs rampant. Do not work here unless you like being ignored, laughed at, and brought down.
Cons
Horrible workplace culture.

Poor management, with nepotism. and favoritism running rampant. Would not suggest working here, much less sending a friend or loved one here for any sort of health care.

Not a good place to work in an office
CSR/Medical Records (Former Employee) –  Amherst, NYDecember 22, 2017
If you have a thick skin and deal well with bullies, you will be happy working at Dent.
Programs used are EcW/Windows systems. Many doctors/providers, services, locations. Growing practice, constantly changing. Terrible workplace culture with Machiavellian political strategems
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Bad workplace culture

Medical Office Assistant (Former Employee) –  Amherst, NYOctober 6, 2017
I wouldn't suggest anyone to work there. The management is not pleasant and workplace is very clicky. Not a friendly, or pleasant atmosphere. Apply else where.

Don't work here
Clerical (Current Employee) –  Buffalo NYAugust 4, 2017
Dent sounds good on paper. But the day to day workings wear everyone thin. The office is short staffed, underpaid, and management is always demanding more. You run around trying to make everything work for everyone but your best is NEVER good enough. Management allows patients to abuse the staff, not the providers but the staff. Then if you are human and have a bad day or are tired, management yells at you and threatens your job. Only a few people stay long enough to learn the system- everyone else goes through the system or leaves the company so quickly that no one is ever well trained. The managers take their stress home with them, as do most of the employees. The providers, however, can work as they choose and are protected against patients and from the day to day runnings of the company.

Call Center Representative (Former Employee) –  Buffalo, NYJune 23, 2017
Very fast pace environment. Always on the phone. Asking questions to learn more about a doctor or nurses schedule.
The management was okay, at first they take good care of you and are very welcoming and considerate of anything you have going on and then after a few months they begin to not care as much and their true colors begin to show.
I enjoyed being around most employees.

Great company to work for
Former Employee (Former Employee) –  Amherst, NYMay 19, 2017
I worked for the company for 6 years, and have never had a job that I enjoyed so much. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and everyone works well together as a team. The management truly cares about the well being of their employees, and all of the managers treat their staff with respect and kindness. Excellent benefits, especially PTO and 401K. Dent is a great place to work!

Very busy outpatient neurology clinic
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (Current Employee) –  Amherst, NYJanuary 27, 2017
Nice people to work with. Very busy and fast paced environment. You learn a lot and the company is receptive to feedback. It can get very hectic at times. I hear the benefits are okay. You get the typical health insurance, dental insurance, etc, as well as a 401. I do not hold the benefits through this job, but with my part time job.
