Great Entry Level Agency
Program Manager, Experiences (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 14, 2019
Overall I was treated well at Dentsu. While it took a while to go from permalance to full time, ultimately promises were kept, even after original managers moved on.

The biggest problem with Dentsu is that there is a huge "stay in your lane" mentality. Mid management gets visibly annoyed when suggestions are expressed outside of the purview of your job description. Strong-willed and senior employees won't be dissuaded, however, it's very demoralizing to younger employees.

Compensation is on the lower side of the industry standard. Employee perks such as cell phone reimbursement have been slashed multiple times to the point where they'd be better off including it in salary rather than calling attention to how little they reimburse.

Politics play a role everywhere, but at Dentsu it doesn't seem as bad as other agencies.

Summary - Decent place to work, but I wouldn't plan on making your entire career there.

CEO of Americas does not care about his employees just his ego
Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 26, 2019
Great talent and people on lower levels. Upper mamangement is questionable at best. Every month someone from upper management resigns or is fired. 2 days later someone else is promoted in to their position. Interesting and talented brands under one umbrella. CEO needs to work on being a better leader and create a more collaborative culture.

Awesome company to work with. Friendly, kind, and a lot of opportunity within the company. The workplace culture is amazing! Makes you feel like you are not working in an office but more in a relaxing comfortable environment.

A great place to work
Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MIApril 20, 2019
The client accounting department of DAN is a great place to work to hone in on your accounting skills. There is great work life balance and the major stakeholders (leadership team), although global, care about its employees in relation to the company's goals. When office changes and challenges arise, a bit more dedication and commitment is required to reach the intended goal. Overall I like working here because of the additional skills that I've attained. Compensation is average.
Pros
Work/Life Balance, Benefits, Community, Flexibility
Cons
Training processes

Don't Waste Your Time
Designer (Former Employee) –  New York, NYApril 8, 2019
Poorly managed. Disrespectful to employees. Lot of corporate climbers here, beware. People tend to blame lower level employees quickly when they are criticized. Lots of companies like this to work for, don't waste your time here.

Poor Management
Accounts Payable Specialist (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 7, 2019
This position was lead to believe it would be temp to perm, only later to find out there were people working there for almost a year as temps. Management was indecisive and constantly changing job performance functions.

Good Place to work
Amnet/Accordant Senior Billing Associate (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MIJanuary 18, 2019
Overall, DAN Detroit is a good place to work. You will find work/life balance. The wages are comparable to other agencies if not better. The direction of the Finance Department is changing but aside from this, it's a decent place to work. Just focus on your job and you will find yourself liking the company.

The bad guys are leaving
Global Director of Business Integration (Former Employee) –  New York, NYDecember 14, 2018
When the merger happened, the new guys in charge in London didn't really see the power of the vision. They were media guys, pure and simple, and didn't see the potential to become the first collaborative and truly integrated holding company model. But the good news is most of those guys are gone now.

Nice Environment, Unstable Executive Management
Senior Project Manager- Global Network Team (Current Employee) –  New York, NYNovember 14, 2018
Excellent place to work if you are not looking for advancing your career. Work environment is very good, flexible hours with remote work options. Upper management has been very unstable, many changes being made.

Fine Job but Culture Lacks
Buyer (Former Employee) –  New York, NYSeptember 12, 2018
The job was great but it was a very cliquey environment. If you weren't in with the top people you weren't looked at very much and it would be hard to get ahead.

Great company on a growth streak
SVP (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 29, 2018
The best of the big holding agency companies, DAN is doing its best to live the vision of Innovating the way Brands are Built.

Culture completely differs by which agency you work in.
Pros
Great vision, compelling narrative, market-leading data e.g. M1
Cons
Needs better integration within agencies, not fast enough at removing toxic people.

Amazing place to learn, poor work life balance
Social Media Supervisor (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMay 25, 2018
There is no doubt that you will learn here. Don't expect to leave every day at 5, which is media in general but you will be expected to stay late and come in early to finish tasks. Management and team culture is beyond great- they really care about their employees and retaining good talent.

SENIOR BILLING ASSOCIATE, GLOBAL OPERATION FINANCE (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MINovember 20, 2017
I enjoy working for Dentsuaegis Network. Although I wish there were more opportunities for advancement. I've been with the company four years and the opportunities within a billing role are far and few between. I guess that can be a good problem for a company ..as the billing staff is well versed on their daily duties, however, it can be a set back for those wanting to advance.
