If you were in charge, what would you do to make Department of Veterans Affairs a better place to work?
Do my job. Listen to staff. Walk through the facility. Don’t allow relationships on units like 63 in Augusta. Investigate. Investigate. Investigate.
What advice would you give the CEO of Department of Veterans Affairs about how to improve it?
I am a disabled veteran and have applied for many jobs, was referred but never called for an interview nor hired, in my opinion, the VA need to start hiring the vets that have preferences and stop hiring their family members, we as vets really doesn’t stand a chance. I think it’s really sad that a person serve their country for over 20 years and they can’t even get a job honestly because the system is broken and the hiring authority hires who they know. That’s all you hear when applying for a job at the VA, it’s all in who you know not what you know. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND SHOULD BE FIXED ASAP!
