Executive Assistant (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAAugust 19, 2018
I worked for the DWS Investments and DWS Trust side of Deutsche Bank in Boston Massachusetts. I worked for two great bosses and an amazing Outside Sales Team. I miss this job as well. It was a sad departure.

VR Progam Manager (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 16, 2018
Although the environment is very stressful, the Team of people that I worked with made up for the tough times and the work was really enjoyable. The roles are getting harder as DB undergo financial difficulties

ASSOCIATE - CASH TRADE SERVICES MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLAugust 15, 2018
Good work life balance, atrocious management. Don't promote top talent and recycle subpar talent. Multiple managers involved in decision making resulting in failed initiatives and strategy execution.

Great Place to work. The technology is pre-historic though, You might be able to cash in after a few years if they exist... But... great place to launch your career.

Flexible Work Arrangements
VP - (Former Employee) –  Jersey City, NJAugust 11, 2018
DB was very good on the flexible work arrangements. However you were expected to work 24/7 if you were working from home. I had some managers that were wonderful with it and some that were not,
Pros
Flexible working arranagements
Cons
Expectations to work 24/7

Associate (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 9, 2018
A typical workday could be unpredictable or non-eventfull. No room for advancement unless you are already a manager. Current pending massive layoffs make the company very unstable for many employees.
Pros
health insurance
Cons
Unpredictable environment

Not a great place
Assistant Vice President (Former Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 6, 2018
Very frustrating place to work if you want to get anything accomplished. Typical large bureaucracy where even the smallest decisions are subject to decision by committee.

Vice President - Business Finance Solutions Group (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLAugust 2, 2018
most enjoyable part of the job was working with the dedicated co-workers. the systems at Deutsche bank were highly unreliable and created a significant amount of rework.

MANAGING DIRECTOR (Current Employee) –  New York, NYAugust 1, 2018
Of the 96000 people working here more than 60% have to be looking, it is sad to see how DB has lost its market value and good people. New CEO is clueless and thinks he can cut his way to profitability. Hey dude, pull your head out growing the business is the only way back to profitability.

No advancement
Incident Manager (Current Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLJuly 31, 2018
The only way to get promoted at this place is to cozy up to a manager and do a lot of outside work volunteering. No matter how well you do your job, it means nothing in the area of advancement. Also work with a global team. But the team really isn't a team. One region pushes its preferences to make process changes.
Pros
Nice work schedule
Cons
Lack of global contributions

I have never experienced a work environment where management takes side of a group praising it more than the other group,. At group meeting we were the lesser competent in doing our job with professionalism and effectiveness.

Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJuly 30, 2018
Deutsche Bank is a great company for learning, advancing and staying long term. They are also great with calling employees back after layoffs to fill new positions.

Currently morale is very low due to major re-organization and cuts that are going on in the bank. No real projects going on in the bank at this time. Hope it turns around soon

Staff / Management
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILJuly 27, 2018
Deutsche Bank has provided the ability to work independently without supervisor control. This makes all feel more a part of the decision making vs. being advised on what to do.

Not what it seems
AVP (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLJuly 26, 2018
The bank promotes a work / life balance, but this is not true. They will demand you work overtime to get the job done, do not care about a work / life balance. No advancement, they see it better to lay off and bring in new hires rather than promote.
