Low Morale due to little to no real respect or consideration
Lab Technician (Current Employee) – Elkhart, IN – November 29, 2018
Culture: You arrive for the day and most of your co-workers are already sincerely asking if it's time to go home yet.
Typical day: Work on what was priority and pray that management doesn't shift them causing you to have to tear down the job and start over, wasting a half of a day (or more) and then asking why it isn't done yet.
I do not enjoy working there and would not recommend anyone to work there.
Paycheck hasn't bounced
Low morale, Low pay for required skills, Unrealistic Expections
Assambly (Current Employee) – Shawnee, OK – November 17, 2018
the typical day here is fast paced with a no guarantee time to go home during the high demand period. you can work 10 hours a day 6 days a week in spring and summer but will only work 8 hours a day 4-5 days a week int the late fall and winter. the overtime is mandaorty period. advancement is not always given. mangament is sincear about your safety but demands high numbers and high hours.
long hours, mandaorty overtime, non family friendly
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) – Bristol, IN – September 11, 2018
A typical day at work consisted of friendly people who were willing to work at a steady work pace. I really enjoyed this job along with everything it offered. The hardest part was leaving due to moving away.
4 breaks, good pay, friendly workers, friendly managers
Assembler (Former Employee) – Bristol, IN – June 30, 2018
The pace is upbeat, the jobs are very simple and almost no position requires heavy lifting. The group leaders are very helpful. Added perks such as company t-shirts and catered lunches for making numbers!
Set-Up Technician (Former Employee) – Albion, IN – June 26, 2018
Dexter axle is in noway a family friendly company, you will work 10 to 12 hours a day 7 days a week for most if not all of the year. You can also expect most holidays to be cancelled, and vacation denied. Most new employees only last about 6 months and the company doesn't seem to care about the high turnover. There are frequent job bids posted but they are mainly for show as most positions are already filled behind the scene.
Challenging, yet enjoyable, fast pace work enviroment
Human Resources Specialist (Former Employee) – Elkhart, IN – June 23, 2018
Work experience is enjoyable for those that appreciate a fast pace environment. Positions offer challenges for any desired craving. Management provides the ability to work responsibly, independently with minimal supervision.
Assembly Worker (Former Employee) – Bristol, IN – March 5, 2018
This company is a joke, the so called line leaders dont do anything but stand around and talk to one another. The company dont care about their employees. The ones that work fast paced are the one that are pushed to work, forget about slow workers, let them be as slow as they want.
Decent place to work if you don't mind working a lot
CNC Machinist (Former Employee) – Albion, IN – January 27, 2018
The company offers many opportunities to advance but you must be willing to work for it. Management can be be a little clueless at times and they tend to play the favorite game there which can hinder you. Otherwise its a decent company to work for with really good benefits.
Liars trained in the art of deception and two faced slave drivers.
CNC Operator, drill and tap setup (Former Employee) – Albion, IN – September 19, 2017
This company used to be a great place to work. The past few years it's really turned downhill, they've become greedy taking away money from their employees, expecting more from them with less pay. The equipment is either outdated or not properly repaired, "bandaged." They started cramming more machines into a small building which caused excessive heat issues which are not being addressed. Favoritism, discrimination, supervisors and others on power trips, this place is like a hamster running on a wheel expecting something different.
Clocking out, pay only from working 70+ hours a week
Clocking in, too much mandated overtime, management
press operator/ machine set-up/ forklift operator (Current Employee) – Albion, IN – August 25, 2017
If you like to work 12-hour shifts 7 days a week get pushed around by management don't like teamwork or communication Dexter axle is a place to work and do not get hurt cuz they will not do anything for you
