Set-Up Technician (Former Employee) –  Albion, INJune 26, 2018
Dexter axle is in noway a family friendly company, you will work 10 to 12 hours a day 7 days a week for most if not all of the year. You can also expect most holidays to be cancelled, and vacation denied. Most new employees only last about 6 months and the company doesn't seem to care about the high turnover. There are frequent job bids posted but they are mainly for show as most positions are already filled behind the scene.
Pros
Easy to get hired
Cons
No integrity, no time off

Human Resources Specialist (Former Employee) –  Elkhart, INJune 23, 2018
Work experience is enjoyable for those that appreciate a fast pace environment. Positions offer challenges for any desired craving. Management provides the ability to work responsibly, independently with minimal supervision.

CNC Machinist (Former Employee) –  Albion, INJanuary 27, 2018
The company offers many opportunities to advance but you must be willing to work for it. Management can be be a little clueless at times and they tend to play the favorite game there which can hinder you. Otherwise its a decent company to work for with really good benefits.
Pros
Great Benefits, Good people, On the job training
Cons
Lots of over time and a lack luster management

Liars trained in the art of deception and two faced slave drivers.
CNC Operator, drill and tap setup (Former Employee) –  Albion, INSeptember 19, 2017
This company used to be a great place to work.
The past few years it's really turned downhill, they've become greedy taking away money from their employees, expecting more from them with less pay.
The equipment is either outdated or not properly repaired, "bandaged."
They started cramming more machines into a small building which caused excessive heat issues which are not being addressed.
Favoritism, discrimination, supervisors and others on power trips, this place is like a hamster running on a wheel expecting something different.
Pros
Clocking out, pay only from working 70+ hours a week
Cons
Clocking in, too much mandated overtime, management

Upper Management and Ownership doesn't care about their employees.
Pros
Could be better.

Flange welder (Former Employee) –  Albion, INJuly 31, 2017
Generally a good place to work and great pay starting out. My complaint is that the work conditions were not always the greatest considering maintaining the machines didn't seem to be a concern of managements.

Final Inspector (Former Employee) –  El Reno, OKJuly 18, 2017
It is a fast moving company you have to build anywhere from 150 to 500 axles a day. They will teach you every step of the way on how to build an axle and they put you in the spot where you can do your best at.
Pros
2 weeks paid holiday at Christmas

Welding axles
Welder/Fabricator (Former Employee) –  Fremont, INJune 27, 2017
At the beginning of the shift I would inspect the parts left from the shift before, making sure they were done properly, prepare my line making sure the proper parts were in place see what we're going to be running for the rest of the day then prep my station for it.
I learn how to fast pace assembly weld for production as well as using a robotic welder.
The hardest part about my job was lifting up semi axles all day and the heat but the best part where the people that I work with.

Some good people stuck in a bad place
Quality tech (Former Employee) –  MonticelloMay 13, 2017
If you want to do the job of 3 people with tools and equipment that is falling apart and be unappreciated then this is the place for you, safety rewards and dinners quartly but they only come twice A year and the 2nd one is when it's slow and 2nd shift is not there, some coworkers are great that's the best thing, you can do things like make Gatorade because it's 110 degrees or bring dinner to boost moral appreciated by Coworkers and management on your shift looked down on by day shift management. But if your not part of the click and a cold hearted your just not good enough. Must be part of The Click!! People kept telling me
Pros
Some good coworkers
Cons
like a SNL skit, bully's allowed to bully, unappreciated
